Dr. Donley is the best math teacher I've ever had. He made calculus so much easier to understand. I didn't get it in high school but after taking this course I actually get what was going on!! Unfortunately he's retiring to build a tree house.

Comment:

Professor Donley by far is MY FAVORITE professor here at IUP. He is a great math teacher and is really good at explaining his Calculus I classes. You can tell that he really loves what he does. It's a lot of quizes, but if you do what is on the syllabus, you shouldn't get anything lower than a B in the class.

Dr. Donley is the best professor I have taken so far. He made calculus seem easy, he's a genius, and just a very nice and funny guy. I would take him again in a heartbeat. Tests every month, and quizzes every week which are great grade booster. Dropped the 2 lowest quizzes, and graded tests on a curve. P.S. loves chocolate!

Best professor I've had yet. Would take him again in a second! He's really funny and makes conversation with everyone. He's very clear about what's on the quizzes and exams. I was always told this class is super hard but it's not. Do the homeworks and you'll be fine. Love him!!

Nicest professor I've ever had. Tells you everything you need to know for tests, quizzes, exams, etc. He is very kind and always willing to help. The book work is harder than the course. He assigns HW from the book but does not collect it ever, do it though, if you can do well with the book exercises you will do very well on his tests/quizzes.

Dr. Donley is the greatest math prof ever! He is the definition of what a professor should be: helpful to students, very clear in lectures, and an overall down-to-earth guy. He does an excellent job explaining the material in class and is one of the nicest, most approachable professors out there. His expectations are clear, study class examples and HW problems and you will do well. Calculus is not supposed to be easy people. You will need to go to class and don't slack on the HW even though it is not graded.

probably one of the worst math professors i hav ever had. very clear and explains problems multiple ways but very hard to understand what he is teaching. 3 tests and 10 quizzes but he only drops the 2 lowest QUIZZES. for the final he gave us a "review" sheet with 7 questions and told us they may or may not be on the final! wouldnt take him again!

Very clear instructor with a good sense of humor. It is clear he prepares well for his class and understands where students typically have errors and gives you a heads up in his lecture. HW is not graded but stay on it or you will get too far behind. Test Q's come from notes and HW so study those.

Donley is a great professor! He knows his subject extremely well, and does a great job of teaching a very difficult subject. The class is not easy, but you learn a TON of math. Your grade may not reflect how much you learn, but trust me, it's worth it! The three projects are very tough, but if you go to class, study, and work hard, you'll be happy!

Great teacher! He grades tough and his calculator group projects pretty much require any and all outside help available. But he wants everyone to do well and is very helpful. Attendance isn't mandatory but is almost necessary in order to understand the subject matter. You'll learn a lot from him even though he is a bit tough.

The man is very lenient with grades but I'm feeling like I am not getting much out of the class. Extra credit only helps the people who already understand the material, not the people who really need it. The group assignments are way tough. You can't rely on what you've learned in class to figure them out. He is really nice though.
