Professor Domon is a really great teacher. She makes learning fun and applicable to real life. Make sure to take notes though and pay attention in class. The work is not easy but she makes it very interesting. She is an amazing human and makes you want to learn more about french culture. Do homework early. You'll be thankful to be in her class

Comment:

Professor Doyon was very enthusiastic and helpful when it came to teaching her students. Any question you have, she will easily help you! Of course, you have to study on your own since it is mostly memorization (it's a new language you're learning). Not too hard if you apply yourself, I had zero knowledge of the French language and got an A!

Mrs. Domon is such a nice lady and is always enthusiastic about teaching French. HOWEVER, the class was incredibly boring. 2 hour lecture, try not to fall asleep.

Madame Domon is an amazing professor and person! She is very enthusiastic about teaching French and she makes the class really fun. If you have taken French in high school for more than 2 years then this class will be easy for you. But if this is your first time taking French, prepare to study your butt off if want to get an A in the class.

I can summarized my experience with her as 3 hours per week for semester that was lost. Life is too short to wast in her class. She is hard to understand and she is not helpful at all. To be honest, I can not recommend her.

Great Professor for French 101 as she teaches the material well. There are 8 packets in total, 3 of which are dropped (3 lowest) so you can not turn them in and still ace the class. Few quizzes here and there, but that is about it. Midterm is easy, and i am assuming final will be to. You have one project involving food from a region and a ppt.

this class was honestly such a breeze and easy A. She's a very nice and smart teacher. If you've taken French you should be fine other wise you will feel a little lost so make sure you pay attention! She goes over everything. If you've taken French just rent the textbook if this is the only French class you will take, but a HARD COPY is mandatory.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class. It is difficult for students who have never studied french before (like highschool) but if you have a little experience you will be fine. Helene makes the class fun and she's always there to help. The exams are fair and the homework load is easy.

Easy A if you've taken a couple years of French before. She moves through material quite fast. You NEED to buy the textbook. She's funny and has a lot of passion for what she teaches. She likes to show videos and talk a lot about the French culture. You have to do a presentation, workbooks, skits, chapter quizzes, a midterm, and a final.

She is so much fun! I had a blast. Interesting, energetic and smart prof. I learned so much about French culture and a lot about life too. She teaches you the correct accent right from the beginning. Lots of grammar, but she makes it fun and cares very much about her students.

Took 3 years of French in HS so this class was a breeze. However, if it's your first year, as long as you attend class regularly, study often, participate, and really try, the class won't be hard at all. Class was a bit slow at times, but still had a great time! She cares about her students and does what she can to make the class fun.

I never took French in high school and I was able to get an A as my final grade. Just study for the quizzes/mid-term/final and you will do fine. Also, students participate alot and Domon calls on students often. The skits are fun, and there was a 10 min presentation where you had to speak French only. Overall this class wasn't easy for me.

I took 3 years of HS french and it was like review. Her tests and quizzes aren't that hard. Just do your workbooks and attend her activities and tests/quizzes. Super easy midterm and final. She's funny and goofy. Won't regret taking her :) sometimes it got kinda boring.. but when it was fun it was FUN

Madame Domon is super easy, she focuses on not just the grammar and the language but how to pronounce and speak French as well.Since she is a true French woman, she is very passionate about the French and her notes are THE KEY TO SUCCESS!Everything she talks about are important and acknowledging the existence of the book is quite crucial too.Easy A

AMAZING teacher. I suggest only taking this class if you have previously taken French because she moves fast. If you have taken French for at least two years, this should be an easy A. She is both funny and entertaining. Very little hw. Only two midterms and a final plus a short powerpoint. Take this class!

Dr. Domon is AMAZING! Not only will you learn a ton of French, but you will become immersed in French culture. She is simply the best. I highly recommend her. The best thing about her is that she believes in her students. Take her and you'll know what I mean.
