does not explain thoroughly. makes frequent mistakes, never prepared, leaves early. terrible writing. I recommend tutoring if taking this class. not available during office hours. Does not communicate with students. Makes unfunny jokes. do not be late for test. lab quiz's are timed.

For this prof. he was very professional and straightforward, however; during his lectures he moves through chapters very quickly and makes mistakes sometimes. He also writes very small and messy so it would be smart to sit up front. He gives reviews that have problems exactly like the exam and gives 5 points for perfect attendance per exam

Good professor. Gives extra credit on exams for perfect attendance. Doesnt grade HW. I recommend doing the HW if u want to do well in the class. Sit as close to the front as possible. Professor can go fast covering material. 90% of my class passed this course.

Comment:

If you take his class, you need to be confident enough to sit in the first two rows of seats. Even though he moves at a slow pace with a soft voice, he is very competent and knows the math well. HW is not mandatory, but it is vital to your success in the course. Also, when he asks "any questions?" Please ask. There are no dumb questions to him.

Comment:

Prof Aguilar is a good professor. I recommend sitting in front of class so that you can hear him well. Homework is frequent, not mandatory, but it is necessary. He will go over any homework problems you ask of him during the beginning of the next class. He normally takes a ten minute break at the halfway mark of the class due to his back problems.

Ok so when i took this teacher i took him for both MATH 2413 and then again for MATH 2414 and he was awesome. He assigns homework and if you dont do it you will never pass.. but if you DO the homework, he will help you understand it better the next class and you should get an easy A. Attendence extra credit too!

Comment:

He is a great math teacher. He gives a lot of homework, but doesn't grade it. He grades on the tests, but they're so easy, he gives you a Sample Test and then goes through the problems in class. The tests are just like the Sample. He makes math so easy to understand. I have taken PreCal II and Cal I with him. I will also be taking Cal II with him.

He assigns tons of homework and expects you to have it done the nest day but he does not take it up or grade it for credit. He only does test grades so it is really hard if you struggle with math to do well in his class. He lectures way too fast and grades harshly. He says he gives extra credit, but the amount he gives you is not worth the effort.

Not recommend this professor. He does expect you to do the noncredit homework in order to do good in class. I understand that he is human and makes mistakes however, he makes to many mistakes that make you worry about his teaching methods and your own understanding. He also is makes you very uncomfortable to ask questions about certain topics.

He lectures too fast. It's as if he was teaching himself instead of his students. He rushes through the chapters so he won't fall behind, yet he still does. Most of the time he does the problem wrong and we have to correct him and start the problem all over again. He's a good guy, you just have to pay close attention.

He is probably one of the best math teachers in epcc , his tests are based on the homework, so if you wanna pass the class with A you must do all the homework , he gives 5 extra points in every exam by just be there in time every day.

Daily homework for practice; not graded. Tests are fair; not too hard. His writing is hard to understand at times. He will help you only if you ask otherwise he assumes everybody understands. Gives sample exams that are identical to the exam. He will make the class as easy for you and for himself. Gives points for attendance added to your exams.

He is so easy to follow and understand. He makes mistakes sometimes but who doesn't? And when he does he always admits that he messed up. Doesn't like it when people talk during his lectures. If you use ur phone during class he deducts points. Gives points for attendance. Overall great teacher!!

Mr. Aguilar can be a tough but fair teacher. He doesn't offer a lot of time outside of class but he does got through step by step examples of problems he expects you to do on homework, he gives you study guides that are similar to his tests and he is a very good math teacher

Has a tendency to be impatient and rude towards his students. I didn't like his teaching style because he goes though lectures and examples very quickly. You would need to do the homework and study at home to keep up. Despite all that, he is lenient on grading tests and sometimes gives extra points. I wouldn't really recommend this teacher.

Comment:

Best teacher for math. Homework is not to be turned in, but will surely help A LOT if you do it. Of course Calculus is not the easiest subject so you will have to put in quite a bit of effort on your part. If you do so you will pass easily. I got a 100 in both CAL I & CAL II with him. He WANTS you to learn, so ask any questions. Highly recommended
