Kirsch is a great Chem professor if you know you will get him second semester as well and aren't going to take OChem. Take him if that's you. But, if you aren't sure you're going to get him for 106 as well and/or have to take OChem, try Davis. Kirsch just doesn't go as in-depth as other chemistry professors expect. Otherwise, super easy and sweet.

Gives good, easy to understand lectures and post notes online everyday. Online quizzes every week for participation points. Tests arent bad if you review quizzes well and he grades fairly

He is an amazing professor. I loved having him as my professor this semester. He is very understanding of your time and helps you out. You have online quizzes that are open for a week. 10/10 recommend taking his course.

I had this teacher for first semester freshman chemistry and he is absolutely awesome. Doesn't take off much for mistakes on tests and will always cheer you up on a bad morning.

Kirsch really helped me understand chemistry after coming in nervous and scared. I did not enjoy chemistry sophomore year of high school and didnt know what to expect coming in to this class. He has helped me enjoy chemistry and motivated me to learn. I am truly understanding what I am learning!! Take Kirsch you wont regret it.

Take him if you can! He posts in-class notes so if you miss or fall asleep in class, he got you covered! His tests are majorly based on the quizzes (as long as you take the quiz rather than forget, you will get full credit). Labs are not hard at all, he is willing to help. Got hunt him down to ask questions! Really friendly and willing to help.

He posts all lecture notes. There is no homework or study guides, but he does give optional practice problems from the back of the book. He's a cute old guy who will always take the time to answer your questions. Exams are basically your entire grade, but he gives 4 throughout the semester for 105 (all other sections only have 3)

Taking Dr. Kirsch for summer organic chemistry is recommended. If you attend lecture, you will understand exactly what is to be expected and what problems will be on the exam. Exams are essentially your entire grade (his exams are long!), and he grades pretty leniently as long as you understand the main concept. He made organic chemistry enjoyable.

Kirsch is the man. He has clear and easy expectations that everyone can meet. I learned a lot, while not having to stress about ridiculous tests like other teachers in the department have. 3 tests and a final exam make up your grade. Kirsch is the most caring prof ever. Take his class, you won't regret it and your GPA won't either. ;)

Kirsch is great! But the main drawback about his easy teaching style is that I feel I will be underprepared for organic chemistry. When comparing my notes with other chemistry sections, the running theme is that we do not cover most topics as in depth as other sections.

I didn't take a lot of chemistry in high school, so I was nervous for gen chem. Kirsch explained concepts in a way that I understood, despite my lack of experience. He's also hilarious. Take him if you can!

Dr. Kirsch was a really great teacher, however he does go painfully slow through some material which can be a good thing if you're struggling but for most people it was a drag. He usually takes the first half of class to review what we did the day before and then moves on to new stuff. Tests are pretty easy if you study quizzes and go to class.

Low key best general chemistry professor at Butler!! Kirsch is like a cute little grandpa. He's super nice and willing to help his students. His lectures are easy to follow and he puts all this notes on moodle. Study the quizzes and you'll do well on the exams!! Take him if you can, you won't regret it!

Kirsch is a great guy, and a great professor. He was not my favorite, mostly because it was super easy and you can skip class and still pass. I let myself give into this, so I didn't master the material as well as I could have hoped. Go to class, and work hard on the quizzes and tests, and you will do really well.

His lectures are really straight forward and to the point. His tests are exactly what he lectures over. As you long you go to class it's pretty easy to get an A. He seems to genuinely care about everyone. I see him as a father figure. If you have the chance, take him without hesitation.
