Dr. Manfredi is a very nice man and is helpful if you make visit his office hours. Lectures are kind of dry and he likes to dive into theoretical material that has nothing to do with the course. If you put the time in you can do well.

Super smart guy. Knows his stuff and is approachable. The way he taught, however, just leaves you more confused than you were coming in. It is clear he knows what he is talking about but he is not good at conveying it properly and in a class like Calculus 3, it makes it very difficult to understand the concepts.

Comment:
Professor Manfredi is an good teacher who genuinely cares about his students and their understanding of concepts. He's a funny guy and is very approachable and accessible. Tests were very fair, and if you have the option of Tongtong Li as your recitation leader, pick her. He prepared us pretty adequately for the final.

Really nice guy and very accessible to his students. Very flexible when it comes to office hours. However, his lecture is mostly theory and the test is all application. He isn't very clear about what you should study (he says it's all "fair game"). Tests aren't impossible, but they're not easy. I got a B

Comment:
Very dedicated to his students. If he has to miss his office hours he will always try to reschedule or make individual appointments, and he even comes in on the weekends. I had to miss a class once and he recorded it and posted it online for me. (in a class of 100 students, which is incredible). Very fair grader, flexible if challenged on it.

There are three papers for this class and you can write about whatever you want. Lecture topics seem to be all over the place--lots of material that doesn't connect. No tests, graded homework. He's a really nice guy overall.

Great teacher and really nice guy, very approachable and helpful. I was in experimental diff eq. for engineers. The class wasn't hard. He gave out review sheets saying what could be on the exams and allowed one page of anything for each exam. Just make sure to write things on the review sheet on crib sheet and do the homework and you'll do fine.
