Comment:
Avoid taking any of his classes. Lectures are hard to follow and are very old school. Gives little to no partial credit for your work. Takes away points for using unnecessary steps in problem solving. He doesn't care about his students.

I had a slight adjustment period because of his accent. This was a simple class and he didn't ask anything that was too far out. Like any class in engineering, YOU have to put forth the effort. unannounced quizzes but they're not anything unexpected.

His accent is super heavy and the dude is like 100 years old, dont expect to understand a word he says. Buy a chegg account, it will teach you how to do the hw better than this guy

WORST PROF I HAVE EVER HAD. He gave me a straight E in the class when the worst I should have gotten was a D. Gave 0 extra credit and was very unapproachable. Tried to rate him a zero but that's not allowed.

Material isn't impossible to understand, but grading is tough. Dedicate time to projects, they're worth a lot of points.

Judah's a solid lecturer who runs a simple class. All quiz and test questions come straight from the assigned homework. I thought his grading was strict, but fair. I mean, it's engineering. What did you expect? He's funny, but also a professional who takes his job very seriously, and expects the same from students. If you don't, he won't like you.

He really is a cool guy that knows a lot of information and will share it with you so long as you ask. His accent is not that hard to understand (I think someone earlier mentioned it). He is a tough grader and you need to do more homework than is assigned to pass the class. 2 group projects, 6 pop quizzes, midterm, final; that's your grade.

He wants you to use CREATIVITY. Don't take his grading personally its tough but he understands what it takes to be a great engineer in the job market. He wants you to learn, not pass a class. His MACH DES. I and II projects were challenging, but required the most creativity. Don't go in expecting an easy class.

This is an intro class, he treats it like one. If you have any background to Mechanical Engineering its an easy A. If not, just study what he tells you and it will be easy. The exams are a piece of cake, just do it his way.

Tough grader, if you COMPLETELY understand the hw the class will be easy. But the hw is hard, he gives about 5 pop quizzes on the hw. Only had 1 quiz before the midterm and then he piled them on in the end. Very quite and has an accent, but is pretty funny. I suggest sitting close

arrogant professor who takes every opportunity to mark down students, has the unique ability to make a easy class hard due to his attitude alone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

Awful professor. Terrible at explaining. Thinks he is better than everyone, and shows that as often as possible in lectures. If you get all the answers correct, but don't draw pictures the way he likes, you can get as low as a 40%. Extremely unfair grader. Avoid at all costs

Awful teacher. Doesn't teach the problem solving process very well, simply shows problems he solved a long time ago. The only time to learn in this class is in the lab. Prepare yourself for a large project load.

Dr. Ari-Gur is an extremely difficult professor, but you can learn a ton of information from him. He's definitely one of the best professors I had at Western. All of these comments I see from people who don't like him are probably from people who recieved bad grades because they're too stupid. Dr. Ari-Gur is a great professor.

since this class is an elective avoid at all costs. it is computer programming INTENSIVE. the lectures are totally worthless and so is the FEA program you have to learn ON YOUR OWN. there are two big projects along with two INSANE computer programming assignments. the professor is very stubborn and bull-headed. his grading is very shady.

Never had a problem with his personality. Class was not the most exciting, but either was the material. The computer project and midterm were very difficult. I got 50% on the computer project and about 75% on the midterm, but finished with a BA.
