I regret taking him. He's a great person but not a great professor. He would lecture for hours but everything on the tests were in the textbook. Was so excited to take Psych 1 but dropped due to failing. The tests were really really hard.

You definitely have to put in effort to receive an A in Professor Yamauchi's class. You have to read the book to do well in his class because he doesn't explain everything. He was a really affective Psychology teacher, and I would definitely take all my psych classes with him! However, he is retiring! Great teacher! TAKE HIM!

Cool guy and very lively, but my high school psych teacher was better. He doesn't really encourage class discussions and he lectures the whole time, but the material is interesting. 10 question quiz every week (matching) very easy way to improve your grade. He tells you what to study for the tests and there is extra credit, overall a fun class

Very wonderful teacher, however I felt he was disconnected from his students just a little bit. He doesn't seem to interested when students ask him questions. He is not big on participation. however, the material was very interesting, and he told a lot of jokes. The tests are moderate, but you need to study.

Dr. Yamauchi is one of the best and most organized professors i ever had at PCC. he makes his lectures so interesting that you don't even want to miss one minute of his lectures. He gives vocabulary quizes at the beggining of the class, so don't be late!!

Very straight forward class. Don't think that because it only meets every 3weeks that you don't have to keep up with reading. Knowledgable professor, wish we could have seen him more often. He gives lots of chances for extra credit so there is no excuse for a bad grade unless you don't study.

His lectures are useless, and do not cover anything but one or two questions on the tests. You are left guessing from the textbook that is around $99-150 dollars to see if you can get the test right. Absolutely no guidance, or direction in where to study except through vague online handouts and textbook reading. I strongly do not recommend him!

I like this ITV class and highly recommend him! He's generous with the extra credit (the quizzes), and he gives candy too! Even though it was a night class he was able to keep me awake. Read the book and watch the DVD also! I didn't watch the DVD and I'm pretty sure if I did I would've gotten the A because I was so close! Learn from my mistake ;p

good dude. The material can be lengthy and boring, but his lectures are very helpful and he gives extra credit quizzes which count towards the exams. Highly recommend taking him. Just read the book/watch the DVDs in a timely manner and you'll do fine.
