Professor Lee is a great guy, but this class is HARD! He makes jokes during lectures, but goes through material very quickly. He briefly goes over the material, so read the book to be successful. Exams are MC, essay and an extra credit essay. He really cares, but the material is difficult.

There are quite a few subpar profess in the bio department at WVU. Kevin Lee is easily the worst. Lecture is trivial, he parrots the textbook (which is also terrible). He grades ridiculously hard relative to what he teaches. I don't even think he knows most of the subject himself. How he has a job here is beyond me.

Honestly, if you can avoid his classes then do so. I had him my junior year and senior year, both classes were abnormally challenging for the content. He does not go in depth during lectures, but makes you do so during exams. If you have to take him, which Biochem majors do, then be prepared to read a lot and possibly take a hit to your GPA.

Do not take this class if you don't have to. I had a 4.0 coming into this year, it is finals time and my average is in the low 50s. The tests are very difficult and the class averages are very low. The class is filled with people going into med school.

He rips you apart on the tests. The average was horrible on all exams (D to F range). The average on the first test on the essay portion was a 34%. Now that is just pathetic on his part. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU HAVE THE CHOICE.

Well, you better love biology if you're taking this course. His tests are extremely tough but an A or a B is possible if you study your butt off. Go to lecture. He teaches off PowerPoint slides but the only things on his slides are pictures. no words. you're gonna spend the whole weekend taking your own notes out of the book. BUY THE BOOK. it helps

This professor seems to know his stuff. Very intelligent, unique sense of humor... but those traits don't match up to his teaching. He is indeed a tough grader, with only four exams (100 pts. each), NO EXTRA CREDIT!, and most certainly a LOT of test material regarding viruses. Case studies are the only HW graded. Class avg. 60% at midterm.

He is absolutely terrible. The entire class does terrible on the tests and he doesn't care. More than half of our class dropped and we all asked if there was any way to get extra credit and he said no, and he doesn't curve at all. He doesn't even care if you all fail or not.

His tests were difficult and tricky. He isn't particularly helpful and was not easy to talk to. Writing for him wasn't particularly dreadful but the multiple choice portions of tests were challenging and structured in a way that makes it easy to lose points.

Worst Teacher at WVU! I am a straight A honors student and found his class unbearable. The material is interesting, but his tests are literally impossible no matter how much you study. About 70% of the questions on the test are trick questions. So unless you already know everything there is to know about biology DON'T TAKE THIS COURSE.

Please, please, please, please do not take BIO 312 if Lee is teaching it. Class is horribly unorganized, he makes the tests ENTIRELY too difficult. Just learn from my mistakes: class average is a 55% as of midterm and I'm in a class full of next-year med students and other professionals. Worst professor in WVU bio dept. and that is saying something

Dr. Lee is a fantastic teacher. He makes the subject of advanced molecular biology, which doesn't seem too interesting, and applies it to real-life situations. His class is not easy, but he is by far one of the best professors I have had at WVU! Pay attention in class, take detailed notes, read the book, and you will be fine!

Loved Dr. Lee! He's not easy by far, but he's honestly not that difficult. He wants you to learn the material. So no, he won't give you answers outright. And he won't coddle you. He is sarcastic and makes jokes, but if you can understand that and go along with it then its fine. His tests are difficult, but appropriate. Read the text!

Dr. Lee is a wonderful teacher. He focuses on his students and is very helpful. While the class is not easy, you will most certainly succeed if you study and attend class. He is genuinely interested in the material and that is evident in his teaching. Have taken him multiple times now, and he truly is one of the best teachers at WVU.

Good/Knowledgeable prof, but exams are INSANE! Study everything! Know everything! & be ready for the essays! Horrible yes, BUT he did say to me that he took 1 of Bidwai's exams & thought it was hard (so he was suggesting his exams were less difficult)

Tests are ridiculous...and he doesn't hand them back. Get someone's note's from the previous semester. Take a different teacher if possible. He's more interested in having tricky test questions rather than helping you learn.

He doesn't know how to teach lower level classes. Expects everyone to come into the class knowing what he does. Bad teaching style. Made slides for lecture materials but then would just circle or draw over arows on the pictures. Laughs at questions when you ask them. Most likely would not take him again if I didn't have to.
