Generally, I hate English courses; I loved his however. Our focus was on monsters which made the class really enjoyable. He's funny and understanding. Don't think that means you don't have to work hard. All assignments were reasonable, and he was always really helpful.

He is very Intelligent and enjoys what he is teaching however the work load is just too much,he acts like his class is the only class your taking.He is way too strict about the small things its ridiculous he wont allow you to be a second late and will drop your grade if your phone makes any sound. I get wanting to be respected but he is exstreme.

He's very kind and respectful. He seems to want to be the type of teacher that his students enjoy listening to, and I did truly. He's witty, has his lessons nicely put together, and does everything he says he is going to do. If I hada question, he would patiently answer it. He's the dark and handsome type, very interesting! Just don't be late!!

I change my mind on him every class. Sometimes I leave there thinking he is a pretty cool teacher, and others I will leave thinking he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He seems a little too sure of himself, but it's not boring to say the least. He expects students to follow rules, with no exception. Overall, good.

Mr. Meaux is a good and clear professor. Although his policies are a little strict, I can see where he comes from. If you speak to him in a respectful tone and a humbling manner he will respect you back. He may not be the easiest professor on campus, but you will learn a good deal from his class if you pay attention and actually do work.

I had him for World Lit and loved his class so much I took American Lit from him too. He is an AMAZING teacher and you will learn from him. He presents the information in a way everyone can understand and makes sure students follow what he says. Easy on the eyes and stimulating to the mind...among other things ;)Seriously though he has you write your essays in class. At first I thought this would be horrible but having someone right there that will help you until you get it right was the best learning experience I've had in college. He is strict but he's profoundly worth it and very fair.

I pulled out a B in his class. I def earned it though. You def leave this class prepared for 1302. He tells you exactly what to put on your essays, when there is a quiz of a short story coming up, and is always in his office if you need help. Attendance is mandatory and he will kick you out if you don't follow it. So strict but oh so fine...

I had this guy for American Lit and I would never take him again. The class is fairly easy if you take good notes and study them. Also his quizzes over the reading assignments are a little difficult and worth a lot of points. He is extremely moody. He called one guy a "F-cking Dumbass" and embarrassed him. Don't take this guy.

His class was very interesting! He expects you to work for your grade, he doesn't just hand it to you. He is strict on attendance and cell phones being off, but overall, a great teacher! You come out of his class actually knowing the subject! I am going to take him for my lit class and I wish I would have had him for engl 1301!!

i am an engineering major and was scared to take this because it would lower my GPA. i made good grades on all the essays. He is very fair and does not ridicule. Makes things VERY interesting. clarifies exactly what he wants you to have in the essays. Grades more on Grammar and Punct. than content. FUN.
