Paul Ruscher is terrible. He hardly shows up for class. His lessons having nothing to do with the tests. He expects a basic understanding of physics and chemistry. He spends most of the class talking about the current weather, not to mention he doesn't have study guides or textbooks to help you. Don't get him as a professor.

In the 2 years I've been at FSU, he is by far the worst professor I've had. Completely incoherent lessons that were rushed due to his poor planning and useless fluff at the beginning of each class. THE FINAL EXAM IS CUMULATIVE. And he failed to clearly communicate anything pertinent to the exam. Also expects a basic knowledge of Physics & Chemistry

He doesn't teach at all! He spends the first hour of class talking about current weather and then starts going over material and expects you to know all the material for the next test. There is also no textbook so that won't help either! Don't take this class!!

He is awful. He talks for most of the class about nothing & provides no helpful information about what is on the tests. No study guides & all his does in class is talk about random things & graphs which aren't even on the tests! Also, there is no text book so you can't learn the material from that either.Don't take a class by him.Avoid Meteorology!

he is a horrible teacher. nice enough guy but spends 45 minutes of class discussing the days weather and stuff not having to do with what you're learning and then tries to squeeze the days lecture into 15 minutes without explaining anything. the tests are impossible to study for since there is no text book and his online notes make no sense.

Great teacher but very lazy. It took him 2.5 months to grade a test that we took at the beginning of the semester. Then is mad at us b/c we did bad on it. He has too much on his plate. If he didn't have so many things to do outside of class then he could be an effective teacher.

Just an awesome guy! He was so nice to everyone, and would always help you if needed. He made the class fun, and very interesting. I can't wait to take another class with him. Honestly if you are in need of a 1000 level course I highly recommend this one, just because Dr. Ruscher is really great. I think everyone should take a class with him!

The class it's self is very interesting, though long. Some days the assignments are fun and simple (like launching weather balloons) and others and long and very tedious (contour maps). He's very nice and always answers questions. He's very leniant on grading, which is always a plus.

He is a pretty good professor. Not too boring. He likes his meteorology a lot. Tests were bearable. He made class relatively interesting. He left class halfway through the semester because another teach had a heart attack or something and had to cover that class, so we got a bad T.A., and HE sucked

Ruscher is a good teacher, somewhat interesting. Then he left my MET class and gave us a TA William Maxhim who was terrible halfway through the semester, and my grade went from a high B to my final grade of a C+.
