I loved Professor Fulkerson. He is my favorite teacher because I learned so much from his class. I have had art teachers in the past but I actually learned how to draw with him. He is really nice and helpful. He loves what he does and wants to help his students become better at drawing. He is also great for ceramics as well.

Great prof. got a B. Attendance is mandatory, do not be late. If you do all in class assg. & hw, you should get a decent grade. He does show examples of how to draw on you tube. Fun class is you have interest. You will not buy all the materials listed, don't get scared of cost.

I know there are many positive comments here about this professor, but the truth is, he is not a great professor. Most of what you learn will come from YOUTUBE videos. The level at which he teaches art is definitely not at a professional level. If you are an art major, I would not take this professor for ANY of his classes. PERIOD!

Easy A if you follow all directions. Attendance is mandatory since it is a lab and work is turned in after every class. Homework assignments take hours to complete so make sure you have the time for it. He is a tough grader so work hard on the HW and follow all directions. No tests or reading, we watched YouTube videos and drew. Learned a lot!

Great Teacher. I took him for intro to Ceramics and without his help gosh I would have crashed and burned badly.Also be prepared to get dirty cause clay and glaze can get really messy so don't wear your good clothes to class. Make sure to do all your work, and study all the material is in the book and in his lectures take notes. Besides that Great!

I've had Fulkerson for a professor for 5 classes now. I like the way he teaches students who are just getting into the art world. I've become better at drawing because of him and have also become more confident in my drawing work. I am a 3-D student myself, but without Fulkerson, I don't think my 2-D would be so great. <3 u prof F.

A great guy. He begins class by showing youtube videos and tells stories. No textbook required, but art supplies will run you ~$100. Not a lot of lecturing, more hands on demos. Easy class. Show up, turn stuff in on time, put effort into your artwork & you'll get an A. You will have to critique others' work in front of class & get critiqued too.

He keeps repeating himself over and over again, without actually explaining the assignments. It's hard sometimes to understand what he wants. I got an 'A' in this class, so I'm not just some bitter student. Fulkerson is an older guy, he's extremely repetitive, boring. I don't recommend him if you like art and want to enjoy it.

Mr Fulkerson really cares for his students. I don't know how he is like for his other classes, but if you want to learn about 2-D Design, Mr Fulkerson's class is for you. He's serious about the work, but also allows room for creativity. No previous art experience needed, just follow his instructions, and have fun with your weekly projects!

He's a really helpful teacher, and his class is great for the laid back artist. There weren't any intimidating assignments and that's a great thing. His grading is based on your artistic talent, and less on extra curricular work and turned in assignments. Not a really motivating factor, but he teaches you great techniques in the end.

Fulkerson is a gem! Its wonderful to learn from a teacher who loves to teach. His teaching style goes beyond the surface and is motivational. If his students take the time to understand him then he or she will come out a better artist. I Highly recommend Mr Fulkersons Design class for beginning painters.
