If you really need another review telling you not to take this professor, here you go. AWFUL! He is terrible, he is rude and makes fun of students. He consistently messes up on the board, explains little to nothings, and skips over needed material. Would rarely actually finish a problem he did on the board, and exams were very difficult. NOT GOOD!!

Hands down the worst Math teacher or any teacher I have ever had. Halfway through the semester I decided to watch Professor Lenard On youtube and I learned more from math videos than Jensen. Please refrain from taking his class.

Professor Jensen was my teacher for Calculus 2. His class was, hands-down, the hardest class I've taken at Loyola. It was difficult because his examples are brutally unclear, he is rude/condescending when answering questions, he's in his own world when he's writing examples and doesn't interact well with students. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.

Not the professor to take if you don't already know this stuff. Moves at his own pace and skips steps, assuming we all either have his level of knowledge or are able to read his mind. Can be condescending at times, too. If a student asks a question about something, he gets noticeably annoyed as he believes we should all clearly understand it all.

His class made me cry. He does not explain anything thoroughly, rather he seems incredibly frustrated that not everyone has a PhD in math like him. He would outright make fun of me and insult me whenever I asked questions. Office hours were even worse - he just criticized my method of study without actually helping me with the material.

Only reason the class is difficult because he shows very few examples during his lectures. Calc 3 isnt very difficult but he makes it seem impossible. Goes through every proof known to man and never explains things so that it is understandable. I have to teach myself everything. Watch Prof Leonard on YT only reason I have a good grade right now.

Not great. Might know what he's doing but certainly can't teach it. Gets confused by his own proofs and has to start over/doesn't finish the proof a lot. Hopefully you had a good HS calc teacher who can help you out via email. You're gonna have to teach yourself a lot from the textbook. Nice guy though.

This man is one of the worst teachers ever. He is very unclear during lectures, giving very abstract and irrelevant examples. You walk out feeling you have learnt nothing. His tests are unnecessarily algebra heavy. He is SO bad at answering questions and can be very condescending. If you take him, you can count on teaching yourself everything.

Worst professor I've had. Only two exams and a final. Lectures are hard to follow, skips steps in examples and makes mistakes. He is rude when you ask questions, doesn't give you the full class for exams that are harder than they should be. Even if you know the material you may still get caught on concepts not relating to calc 3. do not take him

Worst professor I have ever had. Got my first C ever in this class. I tried so hard to teach myself, but 263 is too difficult to learn on your own. Lectures were very unclear! Notes were all over the place. If you have to take him, utilize his office hours. May give you a little more clarity. Very tough class! If you can, don't take him.

He was the absolute worst math teacher I have ever encountered. He talked down and never went over things relevant to the tests. Super easy if you already took AP Calc in high school but you will not succeed if you did not master calculus before coming to his class. Used WebAssign HW as 40% of a your grade.

He may be brilliant, but he is not a great teacher. He is lazy. He is not helpful. He judges students not on academics. Horrible. Just because he knows the content does not mean he can teach it.

Not exactly the best math teacher I've ever had. Tend to go into his own mad math world and leave the students behind. Does not follow the textbook, so for heavy text-users like me it's confusing. Easy A, however.

He knows the material, but he is not especially good at teaching it. While he doesn't use the book so much, IT IS IMPORTANT! He is not always clear in classes, and sometimes skips parts of the material. Hwk can be amazingly time consuming.

Not bad, knows what he's talking about. Sometimes I feel like he has trouble communicating with students. Very good with giving information about upcoming tests and helping out with homework problems. If you did calc before, his class is not bad. A is doable. Be carful if you haven't, have other resources as it may be a little more difficult.

I am having him now for MATH 161 and I think he's GREAT. He's brilliant and that's for sure. We are having like 3 exams and final. NO QUIZZES. First exam was after Ch:- 1,2 and 3. Second one is after Ch:-4 and third one is coming up (may be). Please pay attention to WEBWORK (HW) probs and the probs that he do on board. :)

Dr. Jensen is a great professor. He explains things well and fast. Extremely helpful and a great man. I would recommend him for your classes. He was not hard nor easy, It is calculus 2 you need to do work too, but an A is doable.

He may be brilliant, but not a great teacher. He's lazy and tends to skips step when explaining things. He seems to forget that he's teaching a 100-level class and a good number of us are not math majors. He hands out assignments that are really advanced. There's nothing wrong with challenging your students unless you do not give them the tools.
