I had Dr. Rieksts for the Digital Forensics course. He is a very intelligent man but I found it common that few participated and he was relying on few students for all answers. No one seemed to be paying attention or following his lectures and he talks very quietly. If you ask for help, he will give it to you and you will pass if put forth effort.

Mumbles to himself, pretty sure he turns around sometimes and completely forgot he was teaching a class. Constantly loses his train of thought "Umm.... so....." He can't seem to understand his own notes half the time, and says "oh I have to look at this, I'll go over it next class" For a computer science teacher, he seems completely baffled by PCs

Mumbles and talks to the screen. If someone moves or makes a sound you will not hear him. Gives lots of reading that I never did and still got A's on everything. The class is a joke. Don't expect to learn anything about computers you basically just need to know the fourth and fifth amendments. Going to class was a waste of my time

Took his computer forensics class as an elective, and found him to be pretty interesting. He posts notes, test answers, and study guides online and goes over homework for most of the class period. He tries to make jokes, but he's super quiet so oftentimes no one laughs and he awkwardly moves on, which is even funnier. Good guy, interesting class.

Easy class, but he speaks so softly that if someone zippers their backpack you missed his entire explanation. You have to read the book to learn it yourself because he doesn't really teach. Posts answers to tests online before the exam is given, quizzes are extremely easy.

Professor speaks with a very soft voice so it makes him hard to understand it you don't sit in the front. I often get lost because I am unable to hear him. Knowledgeable prof but sometimes he seems to have mental lapses and can 't communicate well with students. 1/2 the course is going over homework and he will give quizzes on hw problems.

Easy class even though I never took 125. Very straight forward teacher. Do the homework for your benefit and read his notes on his website. He puts an effort into you succeeding, which is a refreshing change at this College.

I had him in several BS & MS classes. He's a very good person, fair, helpful, well-rounded, ethical and knowledgable. A bit of a gruffy monotone voice (he physically can't help that), and occasionally mentally scattered, but I would gladly take another class with him. My favorite professor, ever!

Gives very little detail, most students could teach themselves the course if they could ask an occasional question. Very friendly and forgiving. Come to class and try, and you should get an A, but don't expect to learn a lot.

I don't know about the whole 'you don't learn anything in his class', because I'm a mathematician & found the subject fairly easy anyway. He seems like he's doing a good job, everyone in the class seems like they're grasping the concepts.

Very easy class to get a B in. Monotone voice left me not paining attention most classes but it didn't matter since the class was so easy. Did not learn much from his class and his jokes are so monotone you often don't even realize he's telling a joke.

People think he is an easy A. But you don't end up learning anything in his class. His Tests are very easy, becasue he gives the answers beforehand. But his monotonic voice can put you to sleep easily.
