Lemke was fine - I don't get what everyone's problem is with him. Had him for lab, and if you put in some time and do quality work, he sees that and grades fairly. So, I guess if you're looking to get away with doing the least amount of work, stay away from him. But if you give an honest effort, you'll do just fine.

Decent Professor. Tough grader. Seems to be inconsistent in grading drawings. Don't argue with him. Put the effort in you will get a good grade on things. Doesn't really teach us how to draw the architectural plans. Often hands out papers of what he expects our drawings to look like but grades with a different paper (wrong measurements, etc.)

Very hard grader, and someone else mentioned he will critique your work loud enough for the class to hear: that is true. I tried my hardest in that class (I'm not an artist) and still did not receive the grades that I thought were representative of my work.

He will verbally tear your drawings apart loud enough for the entire class to hear. Also, he rarely shows up to class on time & will leave for awhile during class for unknown reasons. When he is there, he gives vague directions & then criticizes your drawings, even though he doesn't teach you how to draw. In other words, he is pretty much useless.

I am by no means an artist, but I found this class to be easy if you put the work in. The fact that this class is only one credit is amazing. I spent more time on my drawings than I did on my four credit classes. Don't argue with him either, it does not end well.

He is good at teaching hand drafting. A VERY nice, sociable, guy. The class is not difficult at all but it is very time consuming (An average drawing takes roughly 4-6 hours) He will gladly look over your drawing and show you what to fix or improve to receive a better grade. He also let us redo all of our assignments if we chose too.

Don't even try to argue for points back, and expect a few condescending comments. He's a good teacher, a decent grader, but arrogant as hell. If you don't understand something, he will probably make fun of you. If you have a question, email him, and he will answer it very clearly.
