Comment:

Stell is a tough educator, and demands a lot of her students. The field of Audiology, and Speech Pathology are hard, and competitive fields to be in, so the level of difficulty she provides you, is mandatory for the field. If you are up for a challenge I'd take her classes, but if not you are in the wrong field.

Awesome professor. Tests are awkward and often worded differently than lectures. There is nit-picky information she expects you to remember from the online lectures. After the first few tests, you begin to understand what she's looking for and study accordingly. Class was fairly easy for me but I know a lot of students didn't do so well.

Dr. Turk is arguably one of the best professors SUNY New Paltz has to offer. Her class was an experience I will never forget. I only hope every student at New Paltz will have the pleasure of working with this fine educator. Thank you for being you, Dr. Turk. Also, she is the best mommy in the world.

The class itself is challenging but Turk is definitely there to help. It's obvious that she loves what she's doing and is very helpful to her students. I was originally a speech path person but after taking her class I am definitely making the switch into audiology. Definitely want to take her again!!!

The class is very demanding. She requires attendance but i always had someone sign me in bc i could not stand the monotony of the lectures. I taught myself using her slides and some textbook. I got an A in the class and hardly ever went. She is a nice woman who is very knowledgeable. However, I would NOT recommend her for advising.

Stella is an amazing professor. This class was interesting and she helped us all the way through. Classes are based on powerpoints and tests are directly from those notes. If you don't understand something, Stella goes over things in class. She is extremely easy to approach and wants to get to know everyone, and everyone's story.

I like her personality - strong, dynamic, interesting. I did well on the tests and in the class but look out when it's time for the Comps. You think you know it but then she grades you like you didn't. Audiology just isn't my thing but, then again, who's is it anyway?

Course was very complicated. Very good outlines to go along with lectures. Tests were worded differently then the lectures. Overwhelming amounts to study and read for the class. When approached for help she was nice but for the most part unhelpful.
