Comment:

Dr Jones got so behind in grading it was crazy. She continued to give a lab a week along with reading quiz and a flex assignment every now and then. She doesn't give her powerpoint and her test are crazy hard for no reason. She also grades every little thing so good luck getting the grade you want. Do not take.

Comment:

This was the hardest class I've ever taken. She knows you wont pass the tests so she makes the class passable as long as you complete the labs and flex assignments (papers). She doesn't seem to understand that this class is a gen ed. She teaches very fast with 15+ slides filled with so much information I recomend taking pictures of the slides.

Comment:

Dr. Jones is a nice woman, however, she is a very confusing professor. Her teaching style is hard to follow and she gives very long and difficult, and honestly pretty pointless. Her tests are incredibly difficult and no matter how hard you study you will not do well. The expectations she sets for her students are ridiculous.

Comment:

While she is a caring and great person, she is not the best professor. I always felt like no matter how much I studied for her exams, I would fail. I would go back and reread practically the entire textbook. Her lectures made it seem easy, until you see the labs. Extremely too complex for a general education course. Felt like a level 400 class.

Dr. Jones taught this class in a very difficult manner. As a gen ed these classes are supposed to be easy, but there are labs every week and the tests are so hard you have to prepare in at least a week advance. Do good on labs and flex assignments and youll pass. Access her out of class and be respectful because she does care !

This class is literally pointless and she is one of the worst teachers at Eastern Kentucky University. Do not take her I repeat DO NOT TAKE HER. I studied for an exam for 3 days for 3 hours each day reviewing my butt off and got a 48 because she adds things not on the study guide and expects you to eat, live, & breathe her class when its a gen ed.

She's very scatterbrained & directions are not always clear. The class focuses on pdf docs, google earth, excel, maps/graphs on random websites etc and she doesn't seem to understand that not everyone knows how to use them. For tests she takes info from lecture, book, & labs but she never tells you what will actually be on the test, it's annoying.

This class is way too hard for a 100 class. The number of assignments given is crazy. I am taking this for a general education requirement and she acts as if this is the only class that matters. She never directly answers questions, the book is like reading a foreign language, and the class has an unclear objective. I don't even what I am learning

There is entirely too many assignment due at the same time. She expects way more than what is reasonable. She grades like the devil. There was a class consensus that she is probably crazy. The only fun thing was the field trip and even that needed liquor. She also yells during lectures and has a short fuse. She will take points off for ??? reasons.

Scatter-brained, DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HER EVER. This class had 4 big projects, and she wants you to work on them ALL AT ONCE. Plus the reading 3 chapters a week (integrated online/ 4 in person meeting class) and taking a quiz and doing a long discussion board about it. She has no awareness that your life does not revolve around her class

Unnecessarily hard and standards that do not match up to her own. She expects more of her students than her students can expect from her. Exams are meant to fail you - not test you. Her enthusiasm can be contagious if you have similar interests. A great person to know but not a reasonable teacher.

She talks non stop during lab, giving you 0 time to get finished while in class, labs are 6 pages worth 2 pts. I'm a senior and have never had a 100 level course require as much work as her. You can't bs any assignment, not even the ones that are worth half a point, yes half a point lol. Should've just stuck with BIO 100 for my gen ed.

The first day of class she wasnt even there she was watching the solar eclipse. She makes unneeded opinions during lecture in regards to our countries politics, our class average for test 1 was a 58. What is covered in her section and in other professors course are completely different. She is obviously not worried about her students succeeding.

Professor Jones is entertaining and has a good heart. She is always willing to help you and she is very knowledgeable about the subject. At the same time, her tests are extremely hard and you have a lengthy lab due every week.

Tests are on extreme specifics. She yells way too much in lecture. Although she is extremely knowledgeable, she expects us to have a PHD by the end of the class. Tests are very very hard. She does not tell you what your grade is until the test. Have to stay in class to do homework. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.

What a let down. I was so excited for this class, and all it ended up being was a waste of timemoney. She doesn't always respond to emails, the class has NO structureorganization, she yells A LOT. She has an agenda that does not involve the education of students, gives excessively too much homework, and you learn nothing from it at all. GOOD LUCK

She is the worst teacher I have EVER had at Eastern. The work she gives is not hard, but it takes you 3 hours to complete an assignment! Also, her voice is so loud! I advise you not to take this class!!!

Comment:

Average- She is VERY knowledgable and covers good material, but her test are difficult because you must know specific detials of the materials covered. She likes to nock off point here and there. Deciding to take her is a catch 22, if you like GEO classes or it comes a little easy to you then I do recommend her, other wise probably not.
