She is excellent! Milton was my favorite class! I would recommend going to her office hours before every paper is due and talk to her about your idea. Also, go to her office hours if you don't like her grade and she will tell you how to improve. she is wonderful!!!

The professor's lecture is all over the place. And she doesn't give any feedbacks on your essay exam (Which you unfortunately have two during the semester). She just judges your work with question marks and one comment saying no. She doesn't give you any credit for trying. She does offer two extra credits which you can complete.

She is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on Milton, which makes being in class a lot better. There is definitely a lot of reading and writing, but it is manageable if you pace yourself. You will definitely know a lot about Milton, his style of writing, and subject interests after taking this class. Go to office hours for the papers!

I loved her enthusiasm in class until it came time for her to grade papers. She expects the student to know as much as she does. Her comments on papers make you feel terrible! She's also a tough grader, spent days on a paper and got a C.

She is upbeat and positive.. even when the class is unmotivated to learn. Poetry is hard to get into but she worked diligently to get our class excited about it. I can't imagine anyone not liking her.

She is amazing! My first grade wasn't so hot, but she allows you to do rewrites and takes the higher grade. She tells you exactly what to do to get a better grade in office hours. She makes Milton really fun and the acting was a plus! There is also up to 10 pts extra credit on your avg which is a major plus. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Awesome class!

I had moderate interest in Milton prior to this class, it was her enthusiasm that really got me interested. I didn't pay much attention during her lectures, but I did take notes. She's kind & understanding. Go to her office hrs, she gives wonderful insight. I wish I paid more attention when we were reading Comus, I'm re-reading now for fun!

She is a highly engaging professor, who knows how to maintain an interactive classroom environment. Go to her office hours! She takes this book written 300 years ago, and makes it relevant and interesting to a modern audience. If I could go to her class everyday, I would! Take this class! You won't regret it!

lets you do make up papers all the time, gives extra credit--lots of opportunity for a good grade. must come to class, but she goes over each reading. straight foward exams as long as you pay attention, read, and take half-way decent notes. engages class attention, all around great teacher.

Had Medieval Women Writers with her. The readings were actually boring as anything. Ms.Coiro is enthusiastic and does her best to generate interest in the material, but the class was still rather boring. I like how she graded the papers and her corrections to them were very helpful.

Excellent, engaging professor. One of the most fun and interesting classes I have ever taken. I started out intimidated because of the many intellectual blowhard types in class - but realized she sees beyond them. She is obsessed with Milton and it's hard not to follow her down that road.

Sweet and enthusiastic prof. She rambles a bit, and topics can be boring but she means well. If you don't do to good on a paper you can always do a re-write which she likes. Easy class.

Milton was my greatest collegiate experience. She's the only professor I know that can take 17th century text and have students salivating to know more and spur them to debate at Brower over Paradise Lost. A supreme professor

The woman is a nut with a serious feminist political agenda. If you disagree with her, she acts all "concerned" for your well-being. I have no respect for her and her political corectness.

She is very enthusiastic and very knowlegable. Also very willing to provide extra help, and very approachable. Her lectures are interesting. Papers are short (no more than 10 pages), and she doesn't give exams.
