Lecture may seem a little confusing some times but homeworks help and then she goes over them and gives you the solution so that really helps. After giving solutions, there is a quiz on the same homework the next day. If you do all homework and understand them then it is an easy A.

Comment:

Dr. Dollár is a really great teacher who wants each of her students to succeed. Mechanics of Materials was not ever overwhelming and I feel like that is in part due to her very clear lectures and examples. She likes to make jokes which makes it easy to stay focused. Exams are easy if you go to class and watch her do examples.

Here's the deal. Basically you do all of your learning outside of class online. She just does a refresher in class after you've already learned it, which is annoying. That being said, you learn the material really well and it's really not very difficult so long as you get around to all the Homework.

Breaks every problem down and shows you the process for solving the problem. Extremely organized and great slideshows for each class. She gives a homework and quiz almost every class but they are quick and easy to do and only worth about a quarter of a percent of your final grade so they don't hurt your grade if you do poorly on some. Easy grader.

Well, she invented this thing called OLI. So, you're pretty much going to be taking an online course, but you also have to go to class every day...because there will be a quiz. It isn't as bad as it sounds. If you apply the slightest bit of effort you will do fine. She's a bit strange, but overall a good professor.

Anna Dollar's class is not one of the more exciting classes you will take. If you are able to pay full attention in this class then I solute you. Don't use your cell phone or sleep in this class. She will pick on you. Most of the teaching in this class is done online on modules she created. You will have a quiz every class.

This was a really fair class, if you do the work you will for sure get an A. She tells you exactly what kind of problems will be on the tests and the teaching style was great, you learn everything before even coming to class. Not to mention she's quite quirky and a fun professor.

My favorite professor ever. She assigns a lot of homework you will have to keep up with. She also teaches the material after you try to learn it yourself. But she is a great teacher and really engages the class. Her exams are just like the homework problems, there are no surprises. She is also funny. I would recommend her to anyone!

Easily one of my favorites. HW and online quizzes are difficult but exams are very easy. Reverse style of teaching where we teach ourselves first using OLI then she covers same material in class solidifying our pre existing knowledge

She can be hard to understand sometimes, but she definitely knows her stuff. Very helpful in office hours. Her homework will get pretty rough if you procrastinate, but her exams are a piece of cake. Scans the needed textbook pages so you don't have to buy it. As long as you keep up with the work, it's an easy A. She's also surprisingly funny!

Very hard to understand with her polish accent, and was not very willing to help students. Went in for help and told me she couldn't teach me any basics and that I did not have the knowledge for it. I had her sign my drop slip the second she told me that. I do not recommend her and love my new statics teacher!

Easy enough to do entirely on-line, but you need to go to class regardless. You'll miss out on important info related to the design project which will really set you back, so just hang in there and you've got a solid A. Also, start the design project early, especially the model. You aren't given a budget and you'll need to really plan ahead.
