Comment:

I'm amazed by how much knowledge she has, take ALOT of notes, and be prepared to study for the exams. There's not that much material to learn, but there are so many details you need to know in order to pass. She seems very nice, and the lectures can be interesting. But be aware of never getting early out of class, class always runs over time.

Comment:

Simply put, Anne Betty is a gem. Her lectures are wonderfully organized and she will always answer any questions you have. The midterm and final are straightforward: if you take notes during class in enough detail, then you won't need to do any of the assigned readings. Usually just the midterm, final, and a single research paper per term.

At first I thought Art History classes are boring, which they are, but Weinshenker made it pretty easy. She gives you study guides for the midterm and final which help out a lot, only two online assignments from the textbook, and of course the trip to the Metropolitan Museum paper. Great class and great teacher, try to stay awake to take good notes

The whole class is just PowerPoint slides. You have to write down LITERALLY every thing she says. For the midterm and final she makes you study notes on 30 paintings, but only tests you on 12 of them. If you like memorizing massive amount of notes from multiple 2.5 hour classes and don't have a problem with paying attention every second, Take her.

When every single class is a series of powerpoints, that does not qualify a person as a good teacher. Nor does forcing your students to memorize and regurgitate information in order to pass. Memorization and learning are two very different things. Yes, she knows her stuff but has no concept of what it means to be a teacher.

had her last semester for ARHS106 she is so specific and her tests are really hard!! she's nice and all but seriously her class is so hard, there are alot of kids in my class who failed and this is supposed to be an easy class!!!

Very sweet professor, but her class is HARD. I had no experience in Art History before taking the class so I was a bit blown away. Just make sure to bring a laptop with you to class and write down EVERYTHING she says. Study your notes really well, and you'll be in good shape.

I love her she is the cutest! I don't really enjoy art history at all but she loves it so much you can tell and she is just adorable about it. Her tests aren't that hard but you DEFINITELY need to study them! Take her for sureee

Don't miss ANY class. You HAVE to be really good at note taking, you can bring your laptop but there's no internet she's an OK grader, you just have to be specific. If you write down on papers/tests what she exactly says, you're good. I always wanted to go to museums and know the stories behind the paintings, and because of her, now I know. :)

She is by far the nicest teacher I have ever met. Its IMPERATIVE that you take notes. She is crystal clear with her notes. You never use the textbook in class but its good to have to study from. The only problem is that her voice can be a little monotonous, but hey she's really old..kinda like a grandma figure.

Nice considerate teacher. If you pay attention and study well, the slide quizzes are easy enough. Also have an museum term paper to do. She offers one extra credit assignment. Attendance mandatory or you'll miss her in depth notes. You really learn alot from her. Would take her again!

Such a cute little old lady! Class is extremely easy, don't need the book if you go to class and take notes. 3 slide quizzes, incredibly easy. A couple papers but you can bs your way through them. I did the minimum effort with this class and still passed with an A. Don't be absent too many times though, she gets a little upset. Very easy grader.

aw she is so cute, and nice, too..But not Too nice that she is a pushover... she is Extremely knowledgable and expects you to really know your stuff..the tests are difficult,but not all that bad so long as you study FROM THE BOOK! Class tends to draggg a lot, as all she does is talk straighttt through.. but for a gened, its really not too terrible.
