Spears is a great professor! She is so helpful and will listen to your concerns. I was worried about taking a hybrid class but she made it so fair. Gave tons of extra credit!

Comment:

I highly do NOT recommend this professor. She grades extremely hard and unfair. She has no consideration for those with busy work lives, even though its an online class. Assignments are due Wednesday and Sunday, no excuses. The way she grades her essays is insane. A few extra credit is offered but for very little points. Prepare to fail.

This teacher I would not recommend. She grades extremely too difficult and it's unnecessary. I enjoyed the content of her class but at times it was overbearing. She does have several papers but at least she offers extra credit. I just know I wouldn't recommend her nor take her class again. This class is English 1c so you'll be reading a lot.

Comment:

I did enjoy the content of what. I learned in this class & Spears organization, however, be prepared to work. Several assignments due a week & 3 big essays. The essays were graded with a fine tooth comb. Thank goodness for the extra credit opportunities! Because of the hard grading on the essays this is why I rate B. Spears as fine.

Professor Spears is awesome. She is very organized, even sending reminder emails before assignments are due (every Wednesday and Sunday). She offered several extra credit opportunities, more specifically during the last few weeks of the course. Highly recommend!

Comment:

Prof. Spears is an amazing professor who will help improve your writing with her feedback and writing exercises. She offers plenty of extra credit which is helpful in your final grade. There are only 3 papers and weekly work due Wed and Sun (except around essay due dates). Overall great class and recommend taking English with Prof. Spears.

Comment:

Took Bonnie online and get prepared for 6am reminders/emails to not forget an assignment or two is do later that night or later in the week. The assignments are easy and she makes us respond to other students post on the discussion for east points. Do not wait last minute for the essay's. She responds fairly quick to emails. Totally recommend her!

Such an amazing teacher! She truly tries to push you and wants you to put your best work forward. The workshops are very important, so try to participate as much as possible. As long as you do the homework assignments which are extremely easy, and do your best with your stories then you will pass.

(ENGL 495 not 450) Spears is a really nice caring prof. PINK HAIR. She's fun to talk to and is very understanding; she will work with you if you ask. She keeps everything updated on Canvas if you miss a class. She offers extra credit here and there. Easy assignments, with 4 essays. No big presentations.

Comment:

Grades harsher than most CC professors, rightfully so. Takes a creative approach to lecturing that I appreciate. Many of the exercises in class were both fun and informative, and play to your strengths. Workload was more on the heavy sidetwo/three short stories. Workshopping was a big component. Final was unconventional and laid back.

I love professor Spears! I took her Eng1B and Eng1C class and loved these classes. She is a really tough grader but I didnt mind it; it made me want to work harder. Eng1C was my absolute favorite! Shes really caring and always responds to her emails. Her English classes made me become an English major in the end :)

Bonnie is interactive with her students and is very organized. She is not a tough grader and is very gracious. This is a hard course. You have to read. You have to participate twice a week and you have to take this course seriously. That being said, she makes the class enjoyable and rewarding. I am a working mom of 2. If I can do it, so can you!

If you are a hard worker and have a lot of responsibilities at work and home, I don't recommend this professor!.. Please pass go and collect your $200 and find a better professors! This is an online course and it has alot of homework for only a few points. Most of the professor test has essay question at the end. Assignment are due twice a week!..

Mrs. Spears is a good teacher. Although it was online, she was available. She gave extra credit especially towards the end of the semester. She gives 3 papers and an extra credit essay, optional. Final is the third essay. allows up to a week of late work. Points will be deducted. She also provided the textbook by PDF. No need to purchase textbook.

Spears is a wonderful professor. Instead of making English mundane, she provides fun, exciting, and relatable assignments. She offers plenty of extra credit opportunities and none of her essays or assignments have unwanted surprises. Her organization is significantly better than any professor I have taken. Look no further for the perfect professor!

I took the online class which she still requires work be done wednesdays and sundays. I take online classes to avoid these types of deadlines so this has been hard. She grades very hard, but all the resources are available. I wouldnt take her ever again because she demands too much work at a high quality that I cannot produce with my busy schedule
