Comment:

For lab, Dr. Williams is not that bad. However, he is much easier for gen chem lab as opposed to orgo. His lab lectures are boring and his quizzes get harder throughout the semester.

Comment:

Dr. Williams is a great guy with great lecture in lab. He gives quizzes on material in Organic Chemistry lecture that you haven't covered except his class so that can be extremely difficult. Overall, he does make time for you outside of his office hours and, had a great way of explaining things (although going to see him didn't guarantee a 100%)

Comment:

Williams is a cool guy, but his lectures for Organic are bad. Rarely talks about the material on quizzes/exams, which is what most of your grade is based on, so coming to class doesn't really help much. There are easier ways to teach what he teaches, but he chooses not to. Very hard to get an A/A-. Do not buy the textbook, only get the access code.

Dr. Williams is such a wonderful professor! His explanations and expectations are very straightforward and he teaches you exactly what you need to know. This really sets you up for success on his quizzes and exams. Although he did not take attendance, I didn't skip any of his classes because he made learning fun (even for an 8am).

Dr. Williams doesn't lecture much and his class is mostly going over examples from the homework. The key to doing well on the quizzes and exams is knowing how to do the homework and understanding the concepts behind them. He is helpful during office hours and a nice guy. I enjoyed having him for organic lecture.

Great prof for teaching organic chem. He doesn't lecture, but you need to write down everything on the board (examples mostly). His quizzes seem impossible, but he goes over them in class and the exams are basically the same as the quizzes. The online OWL problems you do are annoying but not bad. GREAT GUY, FAIR GRADER, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

OWL was required for the textbook and problems. Initially, the class was challenging but it got easier for me as the class went on. Very nice guy and understanding. Quizzes are exactly like the exams. Always stay on top of the OWL problems.

Dr. Williams was by far my favorite chem professor here. Very helpful during class and also during office hours. Class was challenging but definitely manageable. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Williams is an amazing professor! His class isn't required to go to and he lets students just go to class to take exams, which is NOT recommended. Quizzes are given each week, when homework is due. Homework & quizzes are each worth 5 points, which boost your grade in his class. Do the homework & read the textbook to do well in his class.

he's an ok teacher at times he confuses himself when a student askes about his work..he doesn't write neat at all, he also bangs on the chalk board when writing and it is rather annoying. everything he teaches come form the text, he expects you to read ahead, and be prepaired to ask questions in lecture!

I love williams. Honestly the best teacher i have ever had. I knew nothing about chemistry coming into college, and he made me learn and love the class. he has an awesome personality, and tests are extremely fairly graded. study your assigned problems, and quizzes prior to a test and expect an A.

awesome professor, probably my favorite!! very willing to help you out if you don't understand material. he really wants his students to succeed! also will reschedule exams if it conflicts with exams for other classes. always asks class when to schedule quiz or exam. attendance is not mandatory. i will take him for every chem class and lab i have!
