Wow. Easily the worst professor I've ever had. Don't bother ever asking a question he will just yell at you. Tests were very difficult, I never felt properly prepared. Unless you have absolutely no choice whatsoever, do not take a class with this man. You will deeply regret it.

he responds to questions in a manor which seems like he's yelling at you for not knowing. Avoid at all costs. is funny sometimes though, so there's a plus.

He is very picky about notation and how you solve the problems. If you don't do it exactly his way he will mark it wrong. On one of my assignments he completely scribbled over my answer, which was correct, and marked it wrong. His analogies are very weird and not descriptive. There are times he makes you laugh though.

Very picky grader. If you don't do it his way, he counts points off, even if you arrive at the correct answer. His tests are okay, but the final was the most difficult and worth the majority of your grade. If you do get him, go to class every day and do the SSEP's, it will help a LOT. He raises your grade for perfect attendence.

Without a doubt the worst math teacher I have ever had. Yells and insults students when they ask questions in class, and his grading is completely ridiculous. The final was 5 questions worth 18 points each.. and he marks points off on hw and tests without explanation, if you confront him about it he will start yelling. DO NOT TAKE.

Honestly the worst professor I've ever had. Impossible to understand, yells and insults you if a question is asked, he's always late, says he's gonna go through everything really quick because there's no time and then continues on complete tangents thereby wasting the time we're already scarce on.

Horrible, always late and ended class early, still covered new material day before Final Exam! Test questions always more complicated that any homework or examples. Wasted class time over-explaining simple ideas while breezing through the important complex ideas. He failed to understand ?s Unless you are VERY strong in math avoid him at all costs!

A good teacher for those of us who don't have the best algebra skills. He is very easy to understand and gives very little homework. Only gives the easiest problems and they translate directly to the exam. Though, he isn't the easiest to approach or ask questions.

I highly disagree with all of the bad comments made about Professor Tung. I don't know what I would do if i didn't have him as a professor for calculus, he makes things very easy to understand! Possibly the easiest math class I have ever taken. He is a funny guy and makes the class interesting--as for the language, he isn't hard to understand.

I disagree with most of these rates, I really enjoyed the class. If you do your homework soon after class and put even a little effort into it, you learn a lot. It is an easy A if you show up to class and can follow along.

Tung is a horrible teacher. He should definitley not be teaching. He doesn't respect his students and belittles them. Tung is extremely difficult to approach and can be quite rude. He is probably the worst teacher I've ever had. Do NOT take him if you can help it!!!

Tung is a very passionate teacher, but he obviously has problems understanding students. Cannot finish his own examples sometimes and keeps attendance every day but I'm not sure if he really keeps track. He always assumes that you do not know, so he will teach everything (which is good!) Great examples but overall hard to follow.
