Comment:

She's very smart but she did not know how to teach. Many times the students did not know what we were doing and she just said "you need to pay better attention." She was very arrogant about having her doctorate and this being "simple math." In the beginning there was homework but she stopped that around midterms and the tests killed you.

Comment:

Shes a really nice lady; very funny and easy going. She makes learning so much easier and her class is more laid back. She uses PowerPoint slides & puts them on Canvas. She requires the Pearson MyMathLab though, so if youd rather have a physical textbook that costs less, you may want someone else.

I love her classes! She breaks everything down into common language. She uses different types of assessments, not just "here's an assignment, hand it in Monday". There are hand-in assignments, assigned discussion boards, and group projects. Her tests come straight from the homework too! If you're failing her class, then it's on you, not her!

Comment:

Wow, she is great. Go to class and you'll have it made. He reviews are designed to give you an almost perfect idea of what will be on the test. She also give out a decent amount of bonus points. Dr. Woodburn also knowns when the class isn't understanding something and will work with them until it's understood. She's an excellent professor!

THE BEST teacher I've had so far at Pitt. She actually teaches and still stays popular, she's so good. She is very organized and very fair. Also, she gives everyone the grade that they earn, but everyone still loves her. Highly, highly recommended- take every class that you can from her. Plus sometimes she hands out chocolate. :)

I hate math, but she makes if fun. She is so different than most other math teachers and is by far the best teacher I have had here at Pitt! She is a very smart lady, and she can still teach at our level... I recommed anyone take her if you can!

Dr. Woodburn is a good teacher. She tries hard to make sure every student understand the concept. She is an MBA professor, so her Quantitative Decision Making class is probably harder than Dr. Lee's.
