He knows a lot about history and the specific details of wars. Its too in depth for me. I love history, but really need someone who can make it applicable to our current society. LOTS of reading, but he is kinda nice. 8am makes it 10x worse than it actually is. Pop quizzes death.

Dr. Jones is awesome! He's really smart and his lectures are interesting. Be prepared to take notes and pay attention, otherwise you won't survive. The class is a lot of fun, and he makes history come alive with his dramatic retellings of the stories. He's super nice, but he's really introverted, so try not to crowd him.

He is a brilliant man, but uses his class as a time to simply "nerd out". I feel like going to class was pointless. He gives very specific pop quizzes and is unpredictable in class. I did, however, like how he set up his test. Be wary of the quizzes, but other than that it is easy to pass. I advise taking Western Civ with someone else.

He is so funny but overall I really didnt enjoy the class too much. It was hard and to much memorizing facts that I am just going to forget again after I already learned them in high school.

I took con law, IR, and Honors Political Phyl with him and have mixed feelings. Con law was one of my favorite classes at JBU, he was informative, clear, and challenging. But in IR he knew things to an extent, but was regularly distracted and disorganized. He can be hit and miss in his teaching quality, overall a very smart and nice person.

American government was made easy, which is what needs to happen. However, we never go quizzes, tests, papers back. Students literally had to shift through a pile of paper to find their own; there is no order to his class at all. He doesn't posts grades, but if you pay attention and show up, you will pass.

He is not a challenging professor by any means, but I don't care about being challenged; I just want to learn. Fortunately, Scott Lee does nothing better than teach clearly and interestingly. Plus, you'll be treated to a constant stream of entertaining sarcasm.

Very challenging class. Fun, clear, intelligent teacher. One of the harder classes I've taken because of content and intense homework load, but I recommend him.

He reminds me a Steve Buscemi, but I like Steve Buscemi. His sense of humour is really great in class, and he relates the material in an understandable way.

Prof Jones is really a cool guy. He has a pretty good sense of humor, and he's not afraid to use it, which is nice. His tests are extensive, but as long as you STUDY the study guide, you'll do fine. Oh, and if offered, DO THE EXTRA PAPER! It can replace the final exam! Sshhhh...mums the word! ;-)

Real cool guy and helpful in his lectures as he clarifies the real dry and complex reading that we are required. Study the STUDY GUIDE before taking test.

I slept through this class and still got an A, which might be a good thing to some people. But I was also bored out of my mind. I felt like I was back in elementary school. I could tell that Jones didn't care about the class at al. The class sucked more than any other class I took while at JBU.
