Tests were not hard they were mostly terms - can study on quizlet (that's what I did) and passed every test with an A, 1 script project (easy), 1 opinion based essay on a play that she assigned us to watch (very easy), 1 group project that has to be presented in front of the class (not hard). I learned a lot in her class; MUST TAKE! :)

She is VERY passionate about theatre. If you have no prior knowledge of theatre and the performing arts do not speak up cuz she can bite your head off. Most of the time she is very nice. The only draw back is when she's lecturing she seems to go back & forth from technical terms and jargon but the tests include just the technical terms. Good class.

Shapazian does clearly love theatre and i can respect her for that but I felt there was a lot more she could have done with the class. Many times I felt she gave students snide comments instead of genuine answers. Overall I would take another class from her but hopefully I dont have to.

Debra was a cool laid back teacher. She leacture a bit on presentation styles, but no big deal. It was a fun class, I earned an A with little effort. However, having some speech classes and having the nerve to speak in front of semi large audiences will help in your pursuit of doing well in her class. Very very cool!!!
