Comment:

Elizabeth Coughlan is such a sweetheart and very thoughtful. Passionate and knowledgeable in tarot, and put tarot reading in a new perspective for me. She assigns about 4 different reading homework a week, but its easy to keep up with. Some papers here and there, but they're not too difficult. Only complaint is she canceled a lot, but life happens!

Comment:

I took Professor Coughlan's seminar and enjoyed the class. She is knowledgeable about tarot and I learned a lot from her. She does assign a back-breaking amount of reading, but you can easily get away with not doing it. Also, she is extremely lenient with late work and attendance does not count. Hands down the easiest class I've ever taken.

Do not recommend If you actually want to learn how to read tarot cards. Class was a free for all. She canceled for like a month straight - waste of time and money.

Professor Coughlan was pretty cool. Lots of reading and homework questions. Her lectures can get boring sometimes but she's funny and makes it entertaining. Lots of group work and group projects.

She does not really teach she just gives you her opinion then puts you into groups and has you do research on a topic. Did not learn a thing from her. She assigns two chapters of reading every week and have to answer 15+ questions based off reading. Don't take class

She's very sweet and caring, but does ramble. She likes to talk about anything during class. You should do the reading because she expects you to but does not force it. Sometimes goes on and on but means well. Get to know her and you'll like her.

Comment:

Took her for a seminar in Tarot Cards and was not disappointed. However, we were her guinea pig class since she never taught it before. Passionate enough about the subject but in no way claims herself to be an expert. Prepare to complete a blog assignment every week and a few papers. Overall, no regrets taking this class.

Elizabeth was perhaps one of the most entertaining and engaging professors I ever had the pleasure of taking. I first took her in POL 372 which was a little scattered, but this class was of far better quality. She is incredibly intelligent on any number of topics and isn't afraid to tell it to your straight. Highly recommend!

Such a horrible experience with her. I want my money back from this credit. She was very disrespectful to some students for no good reason, and too politically correct. She always got us on topics that were inappropriate, & even if we felt uncomfortable with it the discussion still went on. She is unprofessional, unorganized and rude. AVOID HER.

Cancels class a lot, but class is chill when we actually do have it. The lectures are okay and she does reading responses for each week so you do need the book. The group projects can be annoying because you get stuck with who you got for the first project for all the projects , so if they suck you're screwed.

Overall a nice funny person, Is a terrible grader, takes her sweet time grading things and is not clear on what she wants. Did not learn a thing in her class and the lectures were useless. Would not recommend if you want to actually learn something. She is very unclear with what she wants out of us, and is a tough grader. The papers are terrible.

She's the best!!! Everyone should take Model UN , the class rocked and I learned a ton about the workings of the UN. I have taken several classes with her and she is always engaging and leads interesting discussions in class. Take the chance to take a course with her.
