Avoid him at all costs. The proofs and problems you do in class will not be topics youre quizzed on. We had to learn Mathematica this year, had quizzes on it with regular problems which was difficult. This class did not have mandatory attendance, missing or attending class did not matter tbh. Never have failed a course previously but here I am!

Dr, I was a nice and funny man, but his class was hard. His lectures did not help and left me and the whole class confused. I took his practice test to the tutor and she said she has never seen it before. He will give makeup test and leaves the room. He is very unapproachable but would give extra credit.

Dr. I's class was extremely challenging, but not impossible. He does leave for some tests, but will stay for some too, so it's best to study hard for all of them. While the problems on his test are crazy hard, he is a generous grader and curves tests. Overall, I enjoyed his class. He's a nice, personable, and wildly intelligent guy.

Gives the hardest questions on tests. Occasionally leaves the room and allows class to work together. When he doesnt, everyone fails the test. Doesnt explain problems well when he works them out on the board (skips important steps) leaving the whole class confused. Be prepared to learn from the book and online sources.

Dr. I's lectures will leave you feeling confused. Take notes of everything on the board. He gives practice tests that are similar to his actual tests. He leaves the room during tests and he expects you to work together/cheat. He also grades on a generous curve. Write a joke on your test, you'll get 1-5 bonus points depending on how good it is.

I would suggest not taking him for college algebra unless you already have a good grasp on math. He is a nice guy but the way he goes about teaching algebra is not enough to learn the content.

He will not slow down to explain anything unless you ask. He will just start his problems finish them and say "Got it? Okay. Next one." If you dont ask then you are screwed.

Dr. I's class was not difficult if you pay attention. He often curves test and gives bonus points. He gives you a practice test that is very very similar to his actual test. He lets you retake tests if you did not do well on them. He's also a pretty nice guy who loves humor. I would take him again.

He's super nice and hilarious but also a mathematics genius, so sometimes it's hard to follow because he'll skip steps. He gives extra credit and usually curves test, but you still definitely need to put in a lot of your time outside of his to do well.

Dr. I was a great professor. I would take him for every class if I could. He is very helpful when you need help. He is super smart, so sometimes what he talks about goes over everyone's head, but he just loves math. He is super lenient when it comes to grading. He gives bonus points if you go to the board to work a problem.

Dr. Ionascu is a very knowledgeable and captivating teacher. My class was two hours long, but if you're really paying attention it doesn't feel long at all. Yes, you must pay attention. Yes, you must take notes. Yes, you must study for quizzes and tests. Some advice: 1.) Memorize the definitions 2.) Write a joke on the back of each quiztest

He doesn't really follow a textbook, he just gives notes and examples. I needed tutoring to get a B in his class. He's willing to help if you ask. WRITE DOWN HIS NOTES, they will help you to figure out similar problems on the test. His tests might have problems a little harder than he taught. He curves the tests though, like, by fifteen points.

You don't get to live life twice. Don't mess up your life and take his class. Their are better options that will allow you to actually learn the material and do well in the class. He doesn't assist you in any way. If you want to fail a class then ignore my these comments.

Do. Not. Take. Him. DO NOT!!! I enjoy math - to the point I considered majoring in it, but this guy made me hate it! He doesn't teach, he's never consistent with the material, and his notes are confusing. If you value your GPA, steer clear of his class. You will barely pass unless you love math and already understand Calculus.

I love this man. His tests are challenging and usually the same as the practice tests he sends out. If you attend class and study hard, you should be fine. He also gives make-up tests if you bomb the first test. He is really nice and very approachable. He willing to help out and understandable.I am going to take him again!!!

This class is challenging, but it's not impossible. He does curve the tests, and he grades fairly! Dr. Ionascu is also very nice and approachable, so don't feel afraid to ask questions. Old examples of tests may help but NOTHING CAN HELP AS MUCH AS ATTENDING CLASS. Missing too many days may cause you to lose important info.

He laughs a lot and is very nice, however; do not expect to be taught anything. He doesn't teach it at all, he just asks students to go up to the board and hope for the best. He "teaches" straight off the practice test, but unless you already know all the material you will not do well.

A nice guy, but terrible at teaching. Accent is thick and hard to understand at times. Not very clear at explaining his methods, but tests are exactly like the study guides. He tries to be funny and personable, and is a times, but I would stay away if your not good at math.

I had Dr. I for both Calc 1 & Calc 2 so far. The best way to study is go over the previous tests he provides plenty of times. The questions are almost exactly the same except for different numbers. Find a good joke before the test b/c if you write one on the back he will give you 5 extra points. He usually curves the tests 15 points which is fair.
