Absolutely awful. He believes his English is flawless. He will mark your essays with comments such as "can't see it" "use non-technical terms." He adores ; and :, he forces students to use them, even if multiple sentences makes more sense. You will learn nothing from taking this class, except for conspiracy theories and his political ideology,

This teacher was horrible. My fiance and I were taking the class and both wanted to drop out. He is aggressive and humiliates you in front of the class. He is mad if you share books and doesn't like you to talk but encourages you to share with your peers. DON'T TAKE HIM

Fishman is a classic example of the intolerable professor. He spends his class time to instruct political view and literal conspiracy theories. These may be relevent to his final essay assignment, but his lectures are largely unhelpful and usually unrelated to current assignments. If you expect to pass his course, you will do so largely on your own

Though clear and available this teacher constantly insulted my work and when i went in to office hours to get help he told me that i simply did not belong in college. I did all my work and was constantly in for help during office hours and following his suggestions but he made my experience a living hell. don't take his classes.

I would definitely recommend this Professor if you take writing very seriously and you're an English major. If not, it might be in your best interest to take a professor who is less rigorous to increase your chances of getting a decent grade. I did fine in the class, but it took more effort than what was reasonable. A very good man at heart though.

Only true college students will enjoy this class. He will grade your essays as if you are in a four year university, but it helps prepare you for what you should expect. Very interesting discussions in class. Although he may sound crazy at times, he uses logic in every sentence he says. There were creative writing assignments that were fun to do.

This teacher needs to get a new job!!!! He is the meanest teacher and if you aren't a republician, you can't take the class. He told me that I will never amount to anything. What a great teacher!! Very indepth teacher. He demands alot from the students but he is very helpful, just ask for the help. This is not highschool english! He is more than fair and will give you several chances to make up work. He demands you simply follow directions, which oddly enough is hard for many. WORST English teacher I've ever had EVER. He tells you never to email him--he makes you call his house where his wife always answers. Only four essays, but rips them all to shreds no matter who you are! You always have to bring the book and be on time down to the second or he will lecture you in front of everyone.
