Zegar is a very sweet lady. I would say she is the best chemistry teacher at Pitt state that I have had so far. If you have to pick from several teachers I highly recommend you pick her. she's amazing at explaining things makes it easy. great lecture teacher and lab teacher. you have lots of quizzes and homework but she will always help you out.

Great teacher, super funny. She is ALWAYS willing to work with you whether you need help because you're confused or if you have a complication. Super laid back. (Sometimes too laid back.) I loved her.

She was super nice and really cared about her students. If you needed help she would just tell you to come to her office and she would help you. Overall, she is an awesome teacher and I would take her class again or have her as a teacher again.

She gives credit for everything! Do not skip class, she gives you credit for even showing up. There is homework, not very long though. She is an amazing teacher and really takes her time to make sure you are passing. She is the mother of the chemistry department!

Dr. Zegar is one of the best chemistry professors PSU has to offer. This is across the board for any class she teaches. She really cares about the students and is willing to work with you to help you do well in her classes. She explains difficult concepts well. Be aware that she is very disorganized and you will have to remind her of appointments.

Zegar rocks. She's so funny! She'll stay as long as needed to help you with your Qs. She makes chemistry exciting and she makes sure you understand material before you start HW or Lab Sheets. If you dont get something done in time, dont sweat it. If you get it done (in a reasonable time period) you'll still get full credit. Best in the department!

GenChem II was a class which I was dreading to take. Luckily Dr. Zegar was teaching it that semester. She is the sweetest person you will ever meet. The only thing she cares more about than her students, are her kids. If something is even slightly fuzzy, go to her office and ask for help! She is always willing and provides top notch explanations .

Dr. Zegar was my Chem 1 Lab professor and I absolutely loved her. Although she can be scattered at times, she genuinely cares about her students and will always answer any questions. If you are not getting a certain concept, just ask her! I wouldn't recommend asking anyone else in the Chem department due to past experiences being VERY unhelpful.

Explains every experiment in detail before you enter the lab to make sure you know what you're doing. She'll help you with the experiment and the calculations, which can take a lot of time. She wasn't in charge of recitation when I took this lab so I can't really comment on how easy/hard her assignments are.

Dr. Zegar is the best professor in the chemistry department. She is very willing to help you if you need assistance, the trick involves finding her. She is a very elusive person who is very rarely in her office, most of the time she is in the biochem lab next to her office. Very willing to help students acquire research experience.

I love Dr. Zegar. She is the one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She will do anything for her students. She can get flustered and has problems with technology. If you have a problem she will work with you. The only bad part is that she rarely updates grades. However she gives extra credit and extra time on assignments often.

She's tough, but if you ask for help she'll pretty much tell you everything. She's a little flustered and hard to find sometimes, but she knows what she's talking about. Sometimes her lectures run past time, but she doesn't get mad if you get up and leave. I like her a lot. You just have to put out some effort, and you'll do great.
