Dr. Bosch makes the subjects he teaches so interesting. When he teaches Gen Bio with Feissner, it is truly the dream team in action. He explains everything clearly, and is very accessible outside of class. If you don't do the homework though, you won't do well on the tests.

The nicest professor you'll meet on campus. Read the textbook and pay attention to lectures to do well in his class. He was very enthusiastic during lectures and he doesn't fly through slides so it's easy to take notes. If you're confused about anything, stop by his office and he'll break it down fully to make sure you walk away understanding it.

Comment:
While Bio 117 is a tough class, Dr. Bosch makes it clear what is on the tests based on what is on the lecture slides. However, it is still a lot of material to keep track of (and the questions on the tests include both application questions and questions based on definitions), so this class still requires quite a bit of studying.

Comment:
Professor Bosch's teaching style is very boring and dry. It would be easier to have him as a teacher if he was first - instead of having Dr. O'Donnell first, who was energetic and kept the class very interesting. I had a hard time staying awake with Bosch. His lectures don't align with the textbook pages he gives. Overall, He is an OKAY teacher.

I currently have Bosch and O'Donnell (they switch halfway through the semester) and Bosch is just so caring and loves biology he gets so into it. He's adorable and he really makes an effort to help his students out! if you email him hell answer quickly and he wants everyone t do well, he isn't out to get anyone

Bosch is my favorite professor at Geneseo. He is so knowledgable and enthusiastic about what he teaches! He can be a little disorganized and takes a while to grade. However, he is a really nice guy and he actually wants his students to succeed. Also he has a very soothing voice. I highly recommend Bosch as a professor.

Great teacher! One of the only professors I've found at Geneseo that actually cares about you and isn't trying to destroy your GPA. He will really try to help you out and wants the best for everyone. Definitely recommend taking him!

Every other year Bosch teaches ecology when one of the professors go on sabbatical. The only problem is that he is NOT passionate about the subject an thus makes it an unpleasant to be in his class. Not very knowledgable about the subject and puts minimal effort into his lectures, can be interesting when he talks about research experiences abroad.

Bosch was one of the easiest professors I have ever had. Just take notes on the PowerPoints before the tests and you should be fine (although I don't think he teaches ecology too often). He takes one hundred and twelve years to hand assignments back, so you're probably better off badgering him for your grade so at least he'll finish yours.

Great class, great teacher. Can be tough to understand what he wants sometimes, but if you put in the effort and talk to him if you're confused, you'll get a good grade. Great with extensions or understanding if you need extra time with something.

LOVED this guy. I figured I'd be a ecology pro without studying, but after I failed my first two exams he actually reached out to me to come see him. After I started going to office hours my test grades went from 60's to 90's. Ended up with a B+ in his class, which I'm pretty sure he just gave me for my effort at the end.

He is very clear in class, but I don't find him extremely approachable. His grading on tests is sometimes very unclear, especially since his handwriting is illegible. He is very slow at grading things so it might be two months before you know what you got on an assignment. He has made it pretty clear that he cares about his other classes more.

bosch is the man went to class on average 2/3 a week and only crammed the night before each test, he jokes around and shows videos like everyday, some of the stuff he says in class is just facts that hes doesnt even test on, lab is easy and boosts your grade since they count together as one class, some of class material is boring but recommend him

Bosch was the only reason I took this class. He is a great, enthusiastic professor and a down to earth guy. Lab was the most unorganized but relaxed lab I have ever been in. Lecture was good and power point slides were great. Four tests, one poster research project, and the final isn?t cumulative. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! BOSCH IS AWESOME!

Plays favroits. If you not one of them an you go to his office to ask a question an one of his favroits shows up, he will blow you off an talk to that other person. Practice exams are worthless as are the study guids. Also openly admitted to not wanting to teach a spring class which was mandatory in order to do research the following semester.

Dr. Bosch is very arrogant and is a fan of favoritism. I do not recommend him. If he doesn't like you, he's not impartial at all and your grades will reflect it. Take Dr. Harvitsen, the nicest girl you'll ever meet!
