Comment:

I had him as my advisor. he was kind, helpful and made sure I had what I needed. As a professor, he helps when you ask and gives great feed back. He allows up to 4 missed classes unexcused before penalty. Dont waste class time, his projects are a little intense! He critiques before they are due, take his advice!

Rose is a very good drawing teacher and hes very kind and understanding. He doesnt say much but when he does its always valuable information and critiques. He really helps you harness specific drawing techniques like tone, values and measuring and angling.

Very easy grader, attendance matters but you do get 4 skip passes. Your drawings do improve by the end of the semester is you always go to class though. He's pretty laid back but helps you whenever you need it.

He's a very difficult teacher. A lot of difficult, time consuming projects. But overall, every project is well thought out, has a realistic deadline, and forces you to grow and change. He is strict about neatness and presentation. Follow the rules! He's also a very interesting person. His sass makes me laugh.

Mr. Rose is hands down one of the best drawing professors at Kutztown. He is clear and concise with what he wants from each student, and is happy to help if you have further questions or need help with technique. His class is a relatively easy a or b+ if you can follow instruction. Just so you know- KEEP YOUR EDGES CLEAN!!!

Rose is amazing. He gives you guidance on how to work with all the basic mediums for drawings, but gives you options on techniques so you can figure which works best for you. You learn a lot on how to improve your overall drawing skills, and he lets you develop your own style. Hands down the chilliest professor, and extremely helpful.

Professor Rose is amazing! I had him for drawing 1 and then again for drawing 2. He helps you out, gives you multiple options to improve a project, an be a tough grader, but it doesn't matter because he lets you redo anything! SO nice and chill and is easily distracted. Talk to him about something interesting and he'll forget you should be drawing!

James is the most rad professor in KU. I was really nervous in drawing one, but I learned & improved so much in his class that I took him again the second semester. However, just because he's a chill guy don't slack on your drawings and come to class or else you will fall behind. If you come to class to draw, you will get your work done no problem.

Amazing teacher ! Love this guy. Really helpful, projects are always fun and interesting. A lot of artistic freedom. Crits are long, but they don't happen too often. He takes a while to explain his assignments/techniques, but everything he says is important and useful. Really great drawing class.

I loved this class and this prof! I was really nervous about this class but Prof Rose is a really great teacher. I had almost no experience drawing and I learned so much from him. He is always willing to help and you will learn so much. His class is very laid back. He is quiet but don't be afraid to ask questions, he's a nice guy and great teacher!

Probably the best art teacher I've had yet. Though he's quite, he's very resourceful, knowledgeable, and flat out a really good guy. His projects are pretty good, some of which are hard, but well worth it. You'll definitely notice a jump in drawing skills as the semester progresses. Great professor.

Rose is an awesome teacher. I had him for both drawing I and II. Because of him, I have not only improved my drawing skills, but learned to appreciate and enjoy drawing as well. Very chill guy. Hilarious. I suggest taking the time to talk and get to know him. Favorite professor thus far at KU. My goal in life is to someday party with Rose.

this guy rocks. hes very quiet. u can miss up to 5 classes before he takes a grade away. u can leave after attendance tho. i got an a in the class he's a great guy and he'll help u just ask him supplies dont cost too much just pencils paper and charcoal. dont take obrien. take rose! i swear to god u'll be so much happier than if u take ne one else.

If you had drawing beforehand, this class will be the easy. If not, then you'll have to work, but he'll help you. All you have to do for a good grade is go to his class, draw, and you can leave after he approves it. He's very shy when you first meet him, but he's a great guy. Very relaxing class.
