Comment:

Difficult at times, but VERY knowledgeable about anything ECE. Highly intelligent man and genuinely cares about his student's understanding of the material. If you want to know your ECE, take him but be prepared to work hard.

Dr. Rajan is a well-traveled man. He is a genuinely nice person, and makes sure you have the tools to succeed. I had him for an Intro class. He is rather difficult to understand, but it's not impossible. His lectures that he gave tended to drone on for too long, but one thing is clear. This man knows his ECE.

He has a thick accent and is sometimes hard to understand. His grading is a bit on the tough side and the homeworks, tests, and lectures never come together. He will teach one thing, expect you to learn something for the homework, and when the test comes around everyone is lost.

Intro class. Made it a little harder than need be, but this guy as a professor is very smart and helpful. See him out of class if you have any questions and he'll try his best to answer. Speaks a little broken english at times, but he is understandable after the first week or so. He knows his EE.

Signals is a difficult class no matter who is teaching. There is simply a lot to cover in one semester. Dr. Rajan wants to pass students, you have to do your part. Go to the lectures, do HW, prepare away from class. If you get behind, best thing you can do is start over another semester.

department head-he's supposed to be assisting in bringing in research funding-he doesn't so the EE dept suffers. new computers for the professors are more important than properly distributing the money for updated lab equipment. There's some nice equipment but you won't learn how to use it. It's just to look good for the Industrial AdvisoryBoard

This guy is very organized person as a chair. But when he gives a course he is very tough guy, he makes student work hard. HE IS VERY TOUGH WITH UNDERGRADS, so students wont like him.

This guy is losing control of his department. All the professors that inspire learning are leaving. What are we going to do once Anderson is gone? As a few allstars left: Carnal, Ventrice, Alouani, Ghani. Puts the worst professors in key classes: Nat?!? Ojo?!? We'd like to graduate...riiight!

I agree with the last post. Amazed at the whining done by other students. He's tough but I talked to him and he definitely cared. Not for those looking for an easy A but he's definitely a good guy (and the head of the dept - good for job searching.
