I had Dr. Crenner in 1970, and I've never forgotten the way his passion for poetry and language influenced all my years since. Everyone should be so lucky to have a teacher so caring and inspirational.

Truely a man who proves that you can't judge people by the way they look. Not a geezer by any stretch of the mind. A great writer and a great poet. Made me creatively write in a new way. Has no problem shutting down upstartish English majors.

Great professor! The class discussions were always lively and interesting; he is clearly passionate about what he teaches and has a real gift for passing that enthusiasm on to students. He's also incredibly helpful and supportive outside of class. I wish he was my advisor!

Professor Crenner is a wonderful man. He gives his all to his students and has a obvious passion for teaching and writing. I've learned so much from him and have had the pleasure to have had him in both the formal class setting, and the workshop setting. He is more than helpful in providing extensive comments on papers and poems. An amazing guy

I LOVE THIS MAN. He goes above and beyond for his students as long as you have any interest in the subject and treat him with respect. I graduated in the 90s and still keep in touch with him. Brilliant professor and touching poet.

I had him for one class my soph. year, then I left school for four years. When I came back he remembered me! That meant a lot. I spent much time working with him my remaining two years. I hope he is well.

Comment:
Lectures are a little painful sometimes, he sort of talks into space and can't guage the class' reactions to things. However, he is very intelligent and willing to help out in any way he can. He's an aquired taste I think. I liked him after a while.
