I enjoyed Dr. J's class. He is sometimes hard to understand, but he is funny and is very clear about his expectations of his students. You may not learn a ton, but his classes are easy and he is very friendly.

Probably one of the nicest professors out there. Dr. J is always willing to help you, even in other classes. He'd probably help you with personal issues if you asked him. However, his teaching skills are a bit slow and straight from the book. This makes for easy tests, but don't expect to learn as much. EE majors should stick with Barnett's 245

Excellent teacher. Makes class fun and unlike some of the other electrical teachers, does not make you feel stupid if you don't know the answer. He is very approachable and grades very fairly. Yeah he may not speak perfect English but he is committed to making his students learn the material. Excellent teacher!

his class was the afternoon nap time for me. there's no point in going to class but the attendance counts 5% of the grade. tests, are easy. he will actually tell what's going to be on it and if you get the old tests, its like going to heaven. they are the carbon copy of the actual test. overall, easy A but nothing to learn.

I quit showing up for class except for the tests, and I made an A. His in class lectures make no sense unless you're looking for a nap. Just get copies of old tests, and learn how to program each problem into your calculator. He's rather charming, though, and fun to be around. Bottoms up!

Nice as can be, and must know what he's talking about, but no one in the class does...and he doesn't know what you're asking if you need help. Old tests definitely help, but can't count on those either. Don't know about Paul, but try not to take J.

Not a good teacher at all, can hardly follow in class. Not good with partial credit, though you can talk to him afterwards for some extra points. Not recommended if wish to learn the material, best advice: get old tests. They're not easy if you don't.

he's a funny little taiwanese man. his english isn't the best. not very helpful outside of class. make equation sheets well for tests, and the class is a breeze. 2 bonus pts on tests for writing his name in chinese characters. BOTTOM'S UP, DR. J!
