Really easy class. Easy grader as well. The one test we took was in a group. And THEN we graded it as a class. He's funny and lets you turn work in late as well. I enjoyed his class

He is so funny and makes lecture really fun and definitely not boring! The only assignments were maybe 5 quizzes to take online, but that's it! Super easy!

He is an amazing professor and I definitely recommend him. He is super funny during class it makes you want to attend every lecture. Super easier grader and some of the exams are take home exams. If you have the chance take his class!

Fr. Joe is simply one of the best teachers with a great sense of humor. I have taken two classes with him as professor, and they were fantastic. Sometimes his lectures can be long, but he really wants the student to walk away with a better understanding. Always welcomes visitors in his office, and will make you want to read the texts.

Fr. Joe is one of the best teachers at Ambrose. Even though you may not learn a lot about the subjects presented, he makes class a joy to go to! Every student should try to take Fr. Joe at least once. Quizzes are easy and all online, homework assignments are simple, overall just an excellent teacher.

He is a great teacher and knows an immense amount on whatever topic he discusses. I wasn't very interested in this course going into the semester but I left very interested. I would recommend taking any of his classes. I bought the books but didn't use them. He doesn't assign many assignments or take attendance.

Great teacher!!! He is fun to listen to and knows a lot. Some students were upset because he is a Catholic priest and is telling you about different religion but he really knew what he was talking about. Some test are on blackboard others in class--really easy.

Comparative Religions with DeFran was great. He let us correct our own tests and didn't make too much of a fuss over late homework. He also doesn't pay too much attention to attendence, but his classes are really interesting. He is a really fun guy.
