This is the second class I have taken with Savage. He isn't a hard prof but he does push you to your limits. If you take any of his classes, go in with an open mind! He has a lot of knowledge in the field of art and can be overwhelming at times. Take Savage!!! I learned and improved so much

Had Neil at PSAD. He was a great teacher. Didn't bother me when he painted on my painting as a foundation student. I found him a little intimidating, but I was also very shy when I was younger. He always had something constructive to say and would give me some decent feedback even after he was no longer my teacher. I wish he had taught beyond year1

this man is a great teacher to any one who is very serious about their coreer in art. he is quiet and sometimes a little confusing about what he is actually trying to say. overall i learned alot from him, and would recomend him for anyone who loves to paint with acryllic paint.

Unless you are a impressionist, he's not going to like you. Tells realists that they leave nothing for the imagination. Too critical. Wants things done his way.. leaves no room for your own individuality.

The class was fun except the fact that you paint a picture everyday and that doesnt leave much time to finish, with all your other classes. He really helped me by painting with me and on my canvas, to show me how to get the end result that I was trying to get. I would highly recommend him.

Took him for 2 semesters because I love to paint, notsomuch for his teaching style. Annoying when he paints on the canvas for you- you're supposed to be learning! Has a tendancy to be over critical.

he is a good teacher but you start 1 painting everyday sometimes more and you dont finish them all. He paints on your canvases which really annoys me.
