Took research paper with Prof. Becker. Helpful, clear cut, and willing to work with you. The main reason she gets complaints is due to the lack of interest or effort you put into her class. If you don't work for it and honestly want it, you probably won't pass. She's not strict, it's just a lot of her students tend to forget they're in college.

You can clearly tell that she allows her own opinions to influence her decisions. I learned nothing from her and she was late to almost every class. She also didn't bother to proofread anything and often made simple spelling and grammar errors.

While I passed this class without any problems I hated it. I dont feel like I learned anything from her. If youre not liked you will not get a good grade and many times she got into arguments with students over stupid things. Not very professional

I learned one thing out of this class. How to put a long quote in a paper. That's it. If she doesn't like you you won't get a good grade. She gave 3 papers and a final. 9 questions on the final were not in anything we got for the class. Your first grade will be your second grade no matter what. Horrible. Don't take her.

Mrs. Becker is an extremely kind woman, but her class was frustrating. I normally love English, but I found myself dreading anything to do with it and felt as if I learned next to nothing. I also suspect that Mrs. Becket lets personal bias leak in to her grading methods. She's usually very nice, though.

Absolute worst teacher I have ever had in my experience. Get ready to be her therapist because she spends half the class talking about herself, completely irrelevent 411. I made a terrible mistake when I registered. Save yourself time and money. If she likes you, you'll get an A. If she doesn't, no matter how hard u work, you will get a C or worse

Loves the Yankees, and owns an Eminem CD. Hey if you're willing to learn under her, she is very helpful after class. She also understands if you are late to class or need to miss a class.
