She is a tough grader. Also, for this class, if I didn't show up to class I wouldn't have missed anything. Spent most classes staring at the wall as it was not interesting. Participation is forced whether you like it or not which made me feel like she was treating us like children. Homework due after finals too.

I could write a whole paper on how great Karyl is. Not too much homework, grade is based of 3 tests and one group facilitation project. Show up for class and study for the exams and you will pass this class. She WANTS you to pass and is available to help her students succeed. I HIGHLY recommend Karyl. You wont regret it, her lectures are great!

Karyl is one of my favourite professors. Her lectures are never boring. She really cares about her students, and is always available to meet with you! Although her lectures are very laid back, her tests can be a bit tricky and she expects quality work for papers. I usually get A's, and in her classes I got AB's, however I would still take her again

Karyl is a great prof! Very helpful and very smart! She definitely knows what she is doing. She may be a bit of a tough grader but literally just read her assignment descriptions, follow them, and you should be fine.

Karyl is amazing. She truly does want everyone to succeed. The information is extremely interesting, and will help in the real world. Service learning was kind of a hassle, but she makes it fun. A few big papers, but she walks everyone through them. Great prof. Definitely one of my favorite COMM classes.

The class has a huge all-essay midterm that is tough but she gives u a list of about 15 Q's b4hand and 5 are actually on the test. After the midterm the class is a breeze and all u really have left is a group project. She also gives pop quizes but they are easy if u've read

This is an interesting class and you learn a lot. But Karyl's quizzes are extremely hard sometimes and her midterm was also hard. She does grade a little harder than what I thought she would. But she's a good teacher and friendly.
