Vera is awesome! Extremely hilarious! She is a master at social statistics. That was the hardest class I took at chaffey. She welcomes any questions and is very friendly and approachable. Take her!!!

The class is tough as hell. I have never understood math, until I took this class. She makes statistics less intimidating and walked us through each step thoroughly. I ended up with an A, but I studied like crazy and you really have to put 100% . You get what you put out. She's approachable and sweet.

BEST PSYCH PROF EVER! I'm so sad this was her last semester(Spring '16) She is awesome&hilarious. So passionate about psychology&teaching. She really cares about her students&wants them to pass. But she doesn't make it easy. You do have to work for it. I hope I'm as great a teacher one day like her. Thanks again Vera. You're a genuine, kind person.

Vera is one of the greatest professors I've ever had! She had to cancel a LOT of classes which sometimes was nice, but it started freaking me out about cramming everything in the end. If you need help, she'll give you help. I never used the textbook since she created an amazing packet for the class. Easy to relate to and makes lecture interesting.

BEST PSYCH PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! I had her for Psych 1, SocSci 10, and I have again for Psych 80. She is absolutely the BEST. You would think that after 30 years of teaching she will be burnt out and not care about the students or PSYCHOLOGY, on the contrary she's very passionate. Too bad that this is her last semester teaching, Spring 16.

Amazing professor! I am horrible at math and I studied my butt off and got an A+. My advice don't miss class, PAY ATTENTION, if you don't get it you NEED to ask Vera or make the tutor (Natalie is great!) your best friend. Tutoring is free, utilize it! Vera wants you to do well and her lecturing style is very engaging.

Vera is a wonderful educator; she really knows how to teach the material in a way that it sticks and knows how to connect to students in a great way. She's very intelligent, hilarious, and is very good at keeping you attentive throughout class. Tests are LONG, but if you study and keep up on, and know what's she has taught, you'll be golden.

Vera may be one of the best teachers I've ever had. Such a wonderful lady and so helpful! She always there to answer your questions (the later the better.) She also knows how to relate to students on a level that's unusual in professors! She's so helpful and really wants you to do well. Stats is hard but she makes it understandable!

super helpful and patient, I definitely appreciated her dedication to her job. She cancels class ALLOT! sometimes its cool and other times you really wished you could review some things with her. Do all of the packets, that is a must. Ask her questions during the final, her responses will surprise you. you are going to pass

SERIOUSLY! I am no math person but VERA is the best! Such a sweet soul and you can feel that she genuinely wants her students to succeed. OPEN to questions very approachable, lectures are long but she is funny and class didnt feel like a drag, lets you eat in there too even brings snacks during all exams for us! what professor does that! take her!

took her for bio psych and social stats. for social stats, must go to class, unless you can teach yourself.. MUST do the packets aka homework. She doesn't make you turn it in, it's for your own benefit to do them, but they WILL help you pass. Bio psych was more difficult until we could do the tests online! Positive attitude, very helpful!

Vera is very nice but the class is tough! I took this class because I heard it was easy. But it is NOT. Need lots of time to prepare for exams! This class takes a lot of effort and time. I only used the book for quizzes and key terms. I studied off the homework and class notes! There is a lot of vocab and math on exams! took me 3hrs on each exam!

She made statistics extremely easy to understand. She breaks everything down, lectures are online so you can print them. Gives study guides for tests, homework is not mandatory. SPSS assignments were easy, and there is a bunch of extra credit on the tests. Make the effort and you'll get the A no problem. Extremely helpful.

She is super funny and very easy going and approachable she is available 24/7 ive emailed her at like 1 am and she responded and fast! is it a lot of work but if you just do it you'll get an A she is always available to help and she actually makes this super hard class super fun!

Stats is hard but she makes it fun, interesting & easier to comprehend. Available for her students 24/7 by e-mail, tutors know her method of teaching. Attend class for her lectures, do the homework assigned & ask questions. Extra credit is given, show your work when answering the questions (credit -for half right, do SPSS(not hard).
