She is an amazing prof and will forever be my favorite. She takes time to get to know each student on a personal level. Barely had homework. Tests werent hard but lots of writing and thinking outside the box. If you dont like you grade talk to her. I hope to take another class with her in the future.

Best class I took all year. Great movies that make you think. All lecture, but very intriguing, could take it as an 8am and still love it. Katie loves the students and does whatever she can to help us succeed in and out of her class. Take notes on a study guide given to us, tests exactly like it. Know your stuff and you'll pass easy and learn a lot

Katie was my favorite professor at CSBSJU. She gives you the study guide for the test before you start covering any of the material so if you take notes on that and study for 30 minutes before the exam, you should easily get an A. She has so much energy and keeps the class engaged the entire time.

She is a GREAT teacher!! She is very helpful. If you have any questions she is there to help you. She will go above and beyond to make sure that you do well in her class. (One and only downside is she will not let you make up quizzes no matter what) overall, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :)

TAKE THIS CLASS! This class is her baby, and it's so easy to see that. She's so passionate about what she's teaching, and she will do anything to make students learn. Don't be afraid to ask her for help, she loves it. I wish I could take this one again!

Katie is the coolest person - you can tell she's experienced a lot in her life. Fun class discussions, but the grades were all about the tests! STUDY HARD with the syllabus and you'll be fine! I learned tons about media effects. Uses old videos and articles along with tons of lecture. Show up, she gives participation points.
