His class is alright. Yeah hes tough at first but he starts to ease out once the class progresses. Hes pretty funny and very insightful. BUT, if you want an A or B, HE WILL MAKE YOU WORK FOR IT! So get ready to study for the exams. Total of 4 exams (with maps for each) and extra credit.

Loved professor Berger! Very insightful and fun class to take. Seems harsh and mean but he is just preparing his students for the real world. Stick it out and take his class! Awesome professor.

very much a chaotic evil. super mean to students and needs to work on being nice and having a better attitude. thinks swearing a bunch makes him "cool" and "edgy". he tries way too hard to be mr tough guy but ended up making my friend really sad and stressed out.

Very funny and knows his subject well. Not a softie or pushover at all. Scary first few classes and eases out the rest of the semester. Can learn a lot if you are a good student. Learning maps is important in your free time as maps are a large part of the tests.

He is very nice and helpful for anyone eager to learn. However, you really have to listen to his lecture; otherwise, you won't be able to pass the class with B or A.

Well, Prof. Berger is a great teacher. However, I suck at spelling, and since I miss-spelled country names on the tests, he counted them wrong (even though you could tell what I meant). Therefore I did not do well on exams. He is fun to listen to and is passionate about the subject, but you have to put in the work to do well in his class.

He might seem rude the first class, but as the class goes he softens. He lectures a lot and often tells dad jokes, they are good. He tests heavy, 4 exams 125 questions each. 25 map locations & 100 on a scantron. If you study you'll get an A. Go to his reviews they're basically the test. If you want an easy A this is not your class. You work for it.

Berger gives you every opportunity to do well. He gives you all of the notes for the entire semester, he tells you exactly what's going to be on the test on review days, and he gives extra credit randomly in class, so show up. Plus his tangents can get pretty hilarious. If you can, try to get on his good side, it really helps.

Berger is a hard guy but is so respected. 4 tests overall and the final is not cumulative. Class is not mandatory and I would say you could probably miss a lot and you would be fine. Best piece of advice- you MUST attend review days in order to do good on the tests. Go into his office hours, he will respect you for trying.

He literally gives you EVERYTHING you need to pass his class with an A. That being said, it's not an EASY A, you still have to put in a lot of EFFORT. His class is very TEST HEAVY and you have to memorize a lot of the content. Don't let this deter you, he's a FUNNY guy and makes the lectures INTERESTING as well! I would definitely take him again.

If your bad at memorization, this class will be difficult. 100 m/p AND 80-100 locations. If you truly study and try, he will respect you. If your a slacker, he will destroy you. He gives you everything you need to pass the class with an A. He leaves the grade in your hands. Does not have tricky questions on tests. Cool guy.

great professor but the class is not easy. test are difficult and you will have to spent lots of hours of study to be able to get a good grade. tests are 100 questions and map 25 questions a total of 125. it feels like you are doing 2 tests at the same time. if you a looking for an easy science class i think geology is easier.

One of my favorite professors that I've ever had. Knows everything there is to know about science it seems. Probably could've skipped classes and done just as well but I always went because I enjoyed his lectures. He cusses a lot and is harsh to students at times but in a funny way. If you study for the exams you'll get an A.

Dr. Ken Berger was great! He always told funny stories. I took him for Geo 102 and it was very interesting. Don't be scared away from the first class unless you're a lazy bum who wants an easy A. It was definitely hard work but payed off in the end. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

If you attend most class periods you will pass. The Professor gives you a review with all the answers to the test before the exam and all you have to do to get this review is remember a formula or an answer learned in a previous lesson. So with that being said, don't buy the text book. YOU DON'T USE IT. Easy class, just study the maps.

Professor Berger is awesome! He lays it all out on day one and leaves it up to you. He prepares you and gives you everything you'll need to succeed. He is fun and thinks way to highly of himself but that is a part of his charm. Do yourself a favor if you want to be a better person/student in life, take his class.

He sets the bar high on the first day but as the semester goes on, he's really lenient & kind. Buy his $10 notebook which he reads off for lecture. You NEED to go on review days, & study maps. It can be a dry subject.. He rounded my B+ to an A & excused me the day of the final. Study 3 countries, read 3 pages a day, & you'll be fine.

This is by no means an "easy A" as some try to make it seem. You do have to put in some serious studying for this class but if you have the time to do that then you'll be fine. He has a strong personality but he will care about your education if you do. Don't under estimate this class. Study the maps, BE THERE ON REVIEW DAYS or fail basically.

Dr. Berger is an excellent and very distinguished professor! Everything you will need to know is covered the first day of lecture and is in the syllabus. There were 4 overall exams that include map knowledge, no homework and extra credit. Review days are essential! If you're an adult and take your education seriously, I highly suggest him.
