There is no word that can adequately describe Mr. Sherman except vile. He is disrespectful, will NOT let student get a word in, and will talk-over whoever IS trying to speak. Hygiene is not in his vocabulary either as is apparent. Sorry, but paying attention to him is very difficult at best.

SERIOUSLY THE WORST TEACHER YOU CAN EVER GET! HE DOESN'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING AND THEN GIVES YOU BAD GRADES WHEN YOU DO IT WRONG BECAUSE HE FAILS TO EXPLAIN! GPA KILLER! He wasn't that bad, he WAS a really tough grader and was very curt in his comments. But I went to visit him in his office hours so he could help me revise my essays and he was pretty helpful. he's a pretty nice professor once you get on his good side. still, it won't guarantee you a good grade

Hardest class I have ever taken! Took it online. There was an OVERLOAD of work assigned and due every 6 days - with papers in the middle! He doesn't specify what he is looking for but with not hesitate to grade you harshly if you do not answer as he would. HARSH GRADER! He is not nice in his criticisms. Lowest grade I have ever gotten. He's not very good. He's a VERY rough grader and not particularly interesting. Every class is the same pretty much, quick quiz on the stuff he had us read, followed by about an hour but painfully boring discussion (read: the guy droning on endlessly) about it. And you get a few essays, which he will be insanely tough on.

If you value your grade, take another writing class. He is not very clear on what he wants. I thought I was doing great on quizzes and tests until all the grades came back 60% and lower. If your answers are not his then the answers are wrong. He expects you to read his mind. Don't take his class unless you are really good at business writing.

I wasnt looking forward to taking this class and im happy its over. He is a hard grader but i learned a lot from him in the end. I got a B when i was expecting a C..participation is key because he notices. Do well on all online work and passing isnt impossible. You definitely have to work for your grade.

absolute WORST professor i have ever had in my life. He wants perfection, but doesnt help you at all and doesnt tell you what he is looking for. I wouldnt recommend taking him at all unless you want him constantly yelling in your face and giving you C's for A work. TERRIBLE!

He is by far the worst professor ever! Its like he wants you to fail. He thinks that everyone can understand the reading material the way he can. I would not recommend taking this class with Sherman, I promise, you will regret it. The class is so boring all he does it talk and sometimes the conversations become uncomfortable. Don't take his class!

HARD but I enjoyed the discussions because my love for lit. I was a freshman in the class, mostly a soph class.He is SUPER ECCENTRIC. His grading for papers is very hard, expect a c +/- on the essays. HW every night, completion grade for those no content checked. He can get mean.Often has unfomfortable convos on sex. Play favorites, so speak up!

Mr. Sherman needs a reality check. Not everyone is at his level of thinking and he needs to realize that not everyone knows apparently as much as he does.
