I have had herrman for 2 classes this semester. For each we had to write 4 ten page papers each. If you do the research and write ten pages and have sources then you will do fine. His bark is bigger than his bite and he is a great teacher!

This is my fourth class with Prof Herrman. The semester is beginning, and I look forward to the course through the semester. This professor is incredible. He makes taking courses interesting, exciting and fun. What I learn is so important to my career.

He does care about what he is teaching and i learned very useful information and now have a growing interest in Social and Economic Justice. Ken is very opinionated and I found his use of colorful language and "don't care" attitude funny at the beginning of the semester but his attitude started to wear on me by the end. Easy A if you care about SW.

He either likes you as a student or hates you and makes his opinions very clear. I took his online class and would never take him as a teach in an actual classroom. He is rude and condescending towards his students if he does not like them. I recommend the course just for the subject matter bc it is very interesting but not for the Professor.

go to all THREE of his classes ON TIME. youll lose valuable points if you dont. go online for the chats for 10 pts extra credit. 4 ten page papers make up your grade. do them early or throughout the sememster. not spending every saturday of the month of november writing like i did. he can be horribly mean to students in class but an easy A

If you open your ears to his stories and his points, you will learn so much about reality. Ken shows his students what the real world is and does not sugarcoat anything. I had him a couple semesters ago and he pushed me to be passoinate about social change...it still hasn't worn off. Thanks, Ken!

Herrmann is tough to get along with at times as his opinions are very strong, write strong persuasive papers that really show that you have some idea whats going on in the world relating to social and economic justice and you'll survive. ignore his abrasiveness, it wares off when you realize how much you've learned from the research.
