He is a great teacher and is super helpful. I probably emailed him way too much that he got annoyed. The material is light and easy, but the tests are extremely hard. I studied for a week and still got a bad grade. Only took this class because my major told me I had to.

Professor Fisher knows what he's teaching but his tests are so hard. He is very picky when grading labs/tests and you have to be in class the full time to get full credit. If you ask him a question, he looks at you funny and makes people feel stupid. I got an 89.6% and wouldn't round me up to an A. Try to avoid him if you want to save your GPA!

Don't let the fact that it's online fool you, this class is so much work. There are about 5-8 assignments due PER WEEK. The labs are tedious and frustrating. The assignments are difficult and he is a very tough grader (and always makes you feel stupid). However, you can do poorly on exams and still get an A in the class. Overall, wouldn't recommend

Kent Fisher is the worst professor. Assigns way too many challenging assignments and is an extremely nit picky grader, very unnecessary. He allows second chances on all labs, CX assignments, and the first 2 exams, as well as a writen revision for 1/3 of the points back, however the grading is so difficult, you end up doing every assignment 2x.

Worst professor I've ever had. Condescending and picky, teaches nothing but expect everything from you. Extremely tough grader, will take out your point for irreverent details. He made simple materials so complicated and hard to get by, it's like he doesn't anybody to pass. Overwhelming workload, he expects you to only work on this course.

His reviews are far too harsh. This is an online physics class, I don't know what everyone else expected. He gives you plenty of oportunities to pass including like 60+ bonus points... There are 3 exams. The first 2 have two attempts & you can correct the 1st attempt for an extra 33%. It is a lot of work, but the work helps you learn.

The other reviews gave me a bad impression going into this class Well organized class online allows second chance exams extra credit opportunities tough grading at times Fisher is a great professor but you do have to dedicate time and effort for a good grade Lots of work but plenty of opportunities to succeed

Avoid him. Tons of labs, discussion boards (even discussion board self evaluation) plus homework and exercise. He never teach but expect u to know all phys knowledge. He is hardworking, he will review all the threads everyone posts. But definitely not a good teacher.

Will never recommend this teacher to anybody! He is the single most bad teacher at teaching stuff and he is even worst in answering questions. He makes such an easy class feel 100 time harder with his unwillingness to help and his lack of ability to teach. Worst teacher i ever had. It was like there was no teacher teaching the class.

I finished every assignment given and had a 95% homework, but did not do well on the tests 50-75 and was failed. I was told the exam shows how much you know. I argued they show how fast you can do them. I hope Mr. Fisher will realize not all of us are Physics gurus and some take longer to finish problems than others. No Mercy

Tons of work in this class. Only things that really count towards your grade is labs and exams, everything else is about 2% each, meaning not really worth your time. First exam he gave me an F when a different physics teacher gave me C+ on the same exam. His grading is way too strict. Gives a lot of feedback, but find a different teacher!

Dr. Fisher goes above and beyond to provide students with opportunities to learn. The material is hard, but he's created an online course that allows for resubmitting assignments, (including exams!), and provides lots of feedback to get students understanding. I have never had a professor that was so dedicated to providing immediate feedback.

I really like Kent. He gives you so many chances to succeed, it's crazy. That being said, you have MANY chances to succeed because there are MANY assignments to complete. Large workload. But Kent has this great mad scientist laugh that makes it all worthwhile. He makes physics sexy!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! this professor combines homework, essay question, quizzes, and long answer question ON A DAILY BASIS as a grade for homework starting the first day. He expects you to know everything from the first day as if it's the middle of the semester. He is a nice person overall but he's a cocky professor with no mercy. AVOID AVOID AVOID

AVOID HIM. I have never taken physics before and he acts as tho you should already know these things and when you ask a question he laughs at you and acts like its crazy you are even asking the question. I have never ever had any problems with a teacher until I had this man. There is a lot of work every week. I can not wait to never see him again.

Very nice guy, always willing to help, responds quickly to your emails, will talk anything out with you and lets you submit late work if needed (with points deducted). That being said, the amount of work he requires from you is BANANAS. Don't take this class if you have a job, a family or anything else that requires you to be away from a computer.
