Prof Sailor's lectures are not helpful, long and not so interesting (Bring coffee). The level of the exams are tough although they are multiple choice, he does not give a helpful review/guide. I recommend taking this class with a diff prof.

If you can take a different class beside this one I suggest you do it. This is a class where you would have to study a lot for test that are tricky. Study guides does not help with the questions on the exams!

Tough material, not the Prof himself. You have to truly understand the text before coming to class; otherwise it will feel like the professor was talking in a foreign language. Be prepared to read and reread--only rely on the lectures as secondary learning material. Complete the study guides, study the hell out of them and you will get a A-B.

I love cognitive psychology, and since this professor is the chair of the department I thought it was a good idea to take his class. There is not one lecture that I understood what he was talking about. If you ask him a question he says that he will respond it further in the lectures. However, if you need him, he is there. But would not recomend.

Professor sailor is not a difficult teacher lecture wise. However when it comes to the test his study guide is rearranged a couple of times so on test it makes it difficult to understand. You definitely have to read the book. He don't give extra credit or gives you an opportunity to redeem yourself which sucks. I would never take him again.

It's sad that he's still horrible since 2003. Learning nothing from this class. He doesn't give us time to write down all of the information. Moves too fast. Very frustrating. Textbook is a must because class doesn't help. People are taking pictures with their phone of the slides it's pathetic. I hope he changes the way he teaches.

lecture notes don't match his slides. don't follow order which is so frustrating. I don't know why he just doesn't give us the pp slides! It would make our lives easier. No one is listening, people are rushing to write down the notes, so we're not really grasping the material. I'm sure he's a nice person but his teaching method is stressful.

Dr. Sailor was a very challenging instructor. He did not provide the lecture notes on Blackboard for students to study more. I do not recommend him. I now have to retake the course with another professor to earn a higher grade.

His class was pretty good. Even though there is a lot of information to take in he breaks it down enough for everyone to understand. As long as you go to class and do your part as the student you shouldn't have a problem. He's a very great professor and I would take another of his classes.

Great guy, good instructor,but the course material is confusing and he is rather unfocused, its just so confusing, hard to get a handle on the subject even when he explains it. I do not recommend this class, instructor is ok, but not the class.

The course itself is hard enough, he doesn't make it any better. He lets people interrupt him with pointless things because he has no backbone. He drones on and gives study guides that are all over the place. The only thing he does right is make the final essay easier. If you don't need this class (Unlike myself) STAY AWAY FROM IT.

Easy class if you read the chapters and show up to class everyday. Attendance is not mandatory but it helps. No quizzes just 2 exams and several writing assignments of which you have already done in class. Great professor! I wish he taught more psychology courses!!!

Hands down definitely one of the hardest courses and the professor doesn't make it any easier. Unfortuantely he's the only one that teaches this course in Lehman. So if you really don't need this course definitely take another course. If I would have know this first hand, I would have not taken this course.

Monotone, the subject matter is interesting until he lectures on it, he can be very rude even outside of class, his assignments are incomprehensible and require time to make fathomable, taking his tests makes one feel like he is a struggling ESL student, avoid this professor if you can.
