She was very difficult to please and her judgment of your artwork is clouded by her own preference for japanese art. Her teaching was scattered and she wasted a lot of time. I got an A but I wouldn't do it again.

Mrs. Mendoza was very unprophessional and the assignments she gave where very rudimentary. I felt like I was in kindergarten class half the time. She was disorganized, rude at times, and I can honestly say I learned nothing from her, save your self the $230 dolars I spent on miterials for this class and take someone else!

She is amazing. If you're interested in bettering yourself as an artist, take her. She hands out practical professional advice to those interested in pursuing art as a career and gives honest feedback on your work, as well as tips on how to improve. Also she is just a beautiful ball of light.

Don't eat in class, argue your actual opinons, and stay fairly quiet. Show any sort of individualism and be prepared to see the back-handed wrath of Maryrose Mendoza. Easy to pass the class and also very easy to get failed. Fast-times. Be punctual and play your card's right.

I had her for independent study, because I felt that she would be the most helpful and honest when I was trying to create my portfolio for UC Supplement Application. I did not take her generally classes, so I did not do the assignments, but her as a teacher is very helpful and honest if you want to become an artist. A lot of people like her class.

A great teacher and will give you insight and criticism on your work. She is willing to help you with if you are stuck with a technique. The projects are not that bad and likes to hear from her students if this is a project that was interesting or genuinely helped. Take her if you are looking to grow as an artist.

Mendoza is a simple, simple lady and won't teach you much about drawing because she doesn't know very much herself. For learning very basic drawing skills she is standard enough, but don't expect much value out of the class. She carries herself like a kid as well, tries to be your friend but I found her to be kind of vapid.

I know many high school students who have better talents and knowledge in art than this professor. The only students who would learn anything are the students who haven't taken ANY art classes at all.(high school art counts) Her art technique is below average and I wish that I could have taken this class with another instructor.
