Dr. Brown has alot of tests in her PHIL160 class, she also is a tough grader on her tests and exams. Unfortunately, the quality of professors at Martin in the philosophy department is not on par with other universities, so she might be your best option.

Mrs. Brown is definitely one of my favorite professors at Martin. It was definitely the most straightforward class, meaning she tells you want you need to do to pass, I took my freshman . She doesn't expect you to completely understand philosophy, but if your willing to try, there is no reason you shouldn't pass.

There are two books assigned for the class, and you'll quiz over both of them. However, they're not hard to read. After the quiz, she discusses them in depth and they're on the final exam. Her study guides make her tests super easy. She brought philosophy down to a really understandable level as long as you open yourself up to it.

Mrs. Brown is an amazing professor. While Philosophy is not the most exciting subject, I very much enjoyed her class and her style of teaching. The tests, however, are rather difficult. You will need to study daily for this class. There is only one paper to write, and it happens at the beginning of the semester. Would highly recommend Mrs. Brown.

This was my first Philosophy class and was extremely interesting and not hard at all. Make sure you print out the power points and fill in the blanks. Filling out the posted quiz questions is key to passing since she lets you use your notes on almost every quiz. I barely studied and ended up with a B.

She expects attendance, class participation, and will grade notes a few times. The tests are a bit tough but not terrible. Basically show up and take notes with a little studying before tests and you should be fine.

This was my first philosophy class, and she made the best of it! Her point system isn't the best, but as long as you attend class, print out each set of notes for class, and do the assignments you will have no problem.

I cannot understand how she has such good reviews. She is one of the worst professors I have ever had. I am intelligent and I struggled to comprehend her lectures. She would ramble and assume that everyone had understood her. If you did ask questions, she would belittle you and give vague answers. I had to drop this course to avoid damaging my GPA.

She loves the subject and expects that you do to if you are in the class. Need to take Phil 110. 120 or 140 first as this is no easy freshman class. If you ask her for help she will, its just not easy when you are in a DL class. Also she does not give tests back if you want to see them you have to go view them in her office.

She is by far one of the best professors I've ever had! She gets really into what she teaches, and is always eager. Very nice and always there to answer questions! It's important to study ahead of time for her tests, though. But as long you show up, you should pass!

This is my second time having her, she is difficult but tries to help out students that just don't get philosophy. I like what I was learning but it was still tough. Better study for tests they are difficult. She gives easy group work every once in awhile and started taking up notes. Helps the grade. Notes MUST be printed out which I didn't like.

She takes up notes five times throughout the semester and gives points if they are printed off and the blanks are filled in. She doesn't give many assignments besides the ones in class, a couple of quizzes, and a few tests. She does give study guides for the test but if you don't do well on the test then you won't get a good grade.

She's really easy. You do 6 in class assignments which are easy. She always gives you a study guide for your test. You have to read 2 books in this class and on the quizzes she just wants to make sure you actually read the book. She's very nice, ande explains everything very well. You don't really use your text book for this class.
