Dr. Fenton has been my favorite professor so far! I have her again this semester! She really cares about what she teaches, and she will help you if you need it. She is a very tough grader, but gives great feedback. Make sure you take A LOT of notes, and if you miss too much class it will count against you, and you will get lost.

Fenton is one of the greatest professors I've ever had. Class was always something new and interesting. She is a really tough grader, but that's because she wants quality work and not b.s. busy work papers.

Excellent teacher that has taught and studied Milton for literally decades, but that means she has super high standards. If you decide to take her class, be aware that she is a former Dean of the English Department, and the former president of the Milton society. She's fair and very encouraging, but definitely will make you earn the grades.

Dr. Fenton is super nice but just remember that she is grad professor. She has returned to undergrad work. She grades papers really hard and will call you out on your papers if they aren't good. If you have her, go to writing coms to make your sure your paper is flawless. You have a lot of reading, but you are actually learning from her.

Dr. Fenton is one of my favorite professors at WCU. She is very kind and will do anything to help you with assignments. However, you will still have to work hard to earn a good grade. I had a lot of work for this class, but it was work that kept me interested. Take your first-year seminar with her if possible!

Dr. Fenton is the worst professor! I'm an A student in English, but I always received failing grades on everything in her class. When I went to her for help, she gave me EXTRA requirements other students did not have to complete! She also loves to spend entire class periods on useless powerpoints on Britney Spears for "Petrarchan Beauty." TERRIBLE

She's a great teacher, but very tough. She expects a lot and believes that you can give it to her. Tests were extremely tough so be fully prepared. And make sure to talk in class because she hates it when no one talks. She wants you to engage in conversation with each other and with her. Really a great teacher and person.

Totally incredible. Dr. Fenton is by far the best teacher I have had so far at Western. If you want an instructor who really makes you feel like you are getting your money's worth, take her. She is incredibly smart and I always joke that she could lecture on a brick wall and find a way to make it interesting. Take her, fun but tough, but fair!!!

Amazing. She knows her stuff. Don't come in expecting an easy A though, she makes you work. "Pop" quizzes given and regular journals expected. Take decent notes. Listen and show up. Act smart and make comments, show your opinion. Tests based on amount of information put down, so put down a lot.

I LOVE this woman! Not only is she super-intellegent, she is super-sweet! I have taken 3 classes with her and gotten to go to europe with her once and will go again soon. She works your butt off but she makes you excited about the literature, no matter how dry or boring it is. She makes difficult things seem easy. She pounds you with latin terms and extra info but you learn and you learn well. TAKE HER!!!

Amazingly difficult. She asks a lot of you, but she'll also GET the most out of you. Never get lost in Florence. She has a bad temper. Though she's also very forgiving. :) Fantastic professor. Almost makes me wish I was an English Major.
