Amazing prof, makes class very enjoyable. Uses helpful examples and LOVES demonstrations! He was always there to answer questions and go over example probs. Had study sessions that were extremely helpful, tests were somewhat hard but the hw really laid out what he wanted you to know. does summer sessions only- take him if you can!!

He was the best Chem prof I have ever had! He gives clear lectures and notes, and he makes class fun. He always tries to do interesing demonstrations, which are even better when something goes wrong! He really cares about the students, and you can tell he loves Chemistry. His awkwardness is funny; sometimes he seems more like a student than a prof!

Awesome prof who just makes it work! Despite being really soft-spoken and actually kind of awkward, he's sort of charming and charastmatic with a neat sense of humor. And yes, he's downright giddy during demonstrations! His personality is almost more like a student's than a prof's, that's cool too. Watch out for trick questions on tests though!

I love him. He's brilliant and has fun demonstrations, although his tests can be EXTREMELY hard, especially if you haven't had any chemistry before. His class should really be for people that have already taken AP or you might end up lost. However, he is the coolest guy, and honestly knows the name of all of his students. He's also on facebook!

I really do not like chemistry, and this class was really just to get lab credits for me, but Riley made it interesting, especially when he does in class demonstrations, he gets really excited. He's really helpful, but the tests are killer.

Prof. Riley is awesome. His tests are hard, but he tries to help you as much as possible. He is a bit awkward at times, but that's his charm. He's hilarious and knows a ton about chemistry. Class is lecture based, yet he finds ways to keep it interesting.

Riley is really nice. He doesn't try to make your life bad by killing you with chemistry. But everybody says he is so funny and stuff - he has this quiet humor about him, but I was never rolling on the ground or anything. Class is very lecture-oriented, not very exciting. But he is very nice. He always wears baggy clothes for some reason.

I only had Prof Riley for chem lab last year, so I'm not sure how his lectures and tests are, but he really knows a lot and is more than willing to help you out if you approach him. The first couple times you talk to him it can be awkward, but keep trying and he'll warm up to you. His "tag-team" lectures with Hanson were the best!

Great prof. Definately knows his material and he always covers all the bases. If he missed something or got something wrong in lecture, you can bet he'll send an email around to correct it. He's also hard-working - often in his office at all hours of the night. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Pat is so nice...and hot! I used to hate and fear chemistry, but his class was great. He really wants his students to understand and gives good grades if you try. Too bad I had to take orgo which kicked my #ss...I wish he taught every chem course!
