Very easy to work with when you do the work and pay attention to lectures.He may seem intimidating at first but as long as you don't act like a complete know-it-all in class he don't nitpick. Do the work and listen and you will have a good grade.

Sometimes hard to follow what he's talking about but if you ask questions he always tries to help. NOT as bad as everyone says! Do the homework and the tests aren't bad at all. He can be a little intimidating but once you get to know him he's a great teacher. He's hilarious, just joke around with him and don't take anything he says personally!

campa HATES native speakers. i've only seen him favor one before and it was bc she was from a country not many people know of. if you're a native speaker...avoid him like the plague! if not, you're in the clear

i LOVE this man! he is an incredible teacher! he is tough on you if you show off or think you know it all. take his comments w a grain of salt, but he is absolutely hilarious and VERY easy going! i'd take him for ALL my spanish classes if i could!

Very intelligent professor and a good teacher. I have seen him make a girl cry in class, because her spanish was so terrible that she couldn't pronounce the words correctly and this was an upper level class where you should be able to speak spanish at least with some fluency. Most complain because they really don't understand the language.

The man is one who was my client and a teacher in passing in life and not at this university. He is highly skilled in lingual and social ethics a great many cultures. I did not like this class. He was very unhelpful and didn't really teach. He just talks about history. His tests were hard and had random questions and vocabulary on them that we hadn't even learned. Don't take him! Take Ragon instead. She's awesome.

Dr. Campa, he is an...aquired taste. He's an easy going guy, and knows like 10 different languages. Yes, he gets frustrated, but for the same reason as most profs, except he let's you know he's frustrated, especially with those students who come to class thinking they are going to get an easy "A" and they don't study. He's not a teacher, he's a critiquer. He yells at you for pronouncing things wrong and gets angry if you don't know what a word means in English. He won't help you during a test like ALL the other Spanish teachers do and he teaches Spanish history, not grammar. Wait did I say TEACHES Spanish history? I mean he shows videos on Spanish history.

Dr. Campa is very sarcastic; however I enjoyed his class. I had 4 years of spanish in high school and therefore was very prepared, but if you haven't had a lot of spanish before he tends to get frustrated with lack of ability to communicate. If you get on his good side at the begining, he will help you out in the long run.

If you are lazy, he can make you feel like the bum you are, but if you care the least little bit, you'll realize that he is probably the most brilliant language teacher ever. He is extremely funny in a sarcastic way, and he's one of my favorite teachers.
